There were clusters of hairs rolled into a piece of sushi and a strand of hair on another in my recent takeout order. There was also hair knotted into the handle of the takeout bag.
The order was placed as a gift for my sister's birthday. When my sister told me about the hair the next morning, I immediately called the restaurant. The manager refused to grant a refund, stating that it was their "hair policy" to refuse refund for any hair found in their food without a photo. I didn't have a photo because, again, this was gifted for a birthday dinner.
The manager was combative and rude and did not offer any apology for the unsanitary conditions. I'm disturbed at (1) the level of uncleanliness and (2) the fact that this establishment has a pre-existing policy to deal with apparent frequent requests for refunds from people finding hair in their food.

Read moreIchiban is amazing! I've tried Asian restaurants all over the United States and have never found a place better than Ichiban right here in my home state! The food is on another level, and they take the utmost care in their ingredients, the preparation, and the presentation of their dishes. The owners are incredible people, and their staff is second-to-none! They have dishes to please everyone - you don't have to be a fan of sushi, though their sushi is delicious and so fresh! If you prefer cooked seafood or veggies, try their delectable maki rolls! Are your children a bit more choosy with their food? The salmon, chicken, and beef teriyaki dinners can't be beat! Truly love Ichiban and will be a...
Read moreI'll start by saying the food is delicious! But the service is NOT great. We've gotten take out a few times from here, I have a gluten allergy and always have requested gluten free. It doesn't seem to be an issue for the chefs that prepare the food. But the lady that checks me out each time gets mad when I ask for no soy sauce (soy sauce isn't gluten free). Why it bothers her so much doesn't make sense. She's put in my bag each time I've asked her not to. This last time I stopped by I asked for no soy sauce please and she rudely asked me if I even really had a gluten allergy. Um yes I do, I don't eat a limited diet just for fun. They lost...
