Bardstown Community Park — Attraction in Bardstown

A nice slice of Mother Nature Hidden inside the historic district of Bardstown city limits.

A very picturesque setting with a amphitheater/ shelter and a covered picnic shelter.

As of 10/23 It was receiving some construction and an upscale installation on to the children’s playground as well as adding additional space under the cover picnic pavilions

Nice playground with slides swings and more. Fountain water available to refill your bottles.

A natural area for hikers with ridges and a reservoir.

Fishing lake with Kentucky fishing license. Beware this is a natural area and snakes and other animals are present use caution.

Trails are marked at the trail head and are simple to follow. Sturdy shoes recommended as well as bug spray .

The main area is a nice stop for a relaxing stop or lunch

Have had a few family reunions here, all of which were successful. And while the non-wooded area is actually quite small, and on a hillside, the trails are great. Some if the best in Bardstown. The reason I am rating this park 4 stars is because it's becoming common to see tents along the trails. Some occupied, and some abandoned. And it's not grandpa taking little Joey camping. It's really sad but the number of homeless people is growing here and a lot of it has addiction attached to it. Hopefully these people get the help they need, but in the mean time if your not afraid of strangers in the woods, take some McDonald's out there and maybe help someone out. Thanks...

We rented the Upper Pavilion for my grandson's 8th Birthday 🎉 Party. Plenty of room for all the guests, Adults & children alike. We even had a Piñata for them. We had such such a good time there and there was Plenty of room for other Patrons.. It's a really nice Park with a Full Basketball Court... Swings & slides & a Sandbox. Would highly Recommend to others for Gathering's.... It's on a dead end so it feels Private with a sloped landscape down to a Tree Line.
