Stopped here back at the end of July when on vacation visiting sites in the area. Sunday afternoon at ~1pm we pulled into an outer-facing bay, took a few minutes to decide and pressed the order/call button. After perhaps 5 minutes with no response (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were busy/short staffed) I pressed button again. After 2-3 minutes a lady came on and asked for our order. I read the items off and was met by silence. A few seconds and then I was like "uh, hello" which got a "go ahead with your order" response. After I read off the items again she said "okay, hang on a second". No items were appearing on the screen, and no further response back. After another 5 minutes (maybe she needed to get a manager for help???) we decided to flag down one of the employees bringing food out. Took a couple minutes before someone was available after delivering another order. He came over and after we explained the situation he said he'd go inside and come back with pen and paper to take our order. After he came back I went thru the items with him, and he appeared to write them down properly. He gets inside and the items start popping up on the screen... except 2 of the 4 meals were wrong. Waited a moment for him to catch error or to hear anything over speaker system and silence. Screen was prompting to pay but order was wrong so I hit the call button again. Nothing. After 5 more minutes (brief rainshower kept "car hops" running and unable to hear our "uh, excuse me!") we got a chance to flag someone down and told them to cancel our order if it had indeed been submitted, we were going somewhere else. 45 minutes after arriving we left empty handed with a car full of hungry and grouchy...
Read moreNot thrilled about my order today. Waited several minutes before having to hit'em with the "hello, you guys open?". Eventually placed my order and proceeded to the window. Got my favorite breakfast meal: Supersonic Breakfast burrito. But, today my burrito tasted like it wasn't left in the microwave long enough, fries were surprisingly overcooked, and my ocean water tasted more like the Ohio River. Get it together guys. Usually you're on point. 1/12/23 - Meal was correct but waited 15min while at the window for my food. Looked as if only 2 people were working. I blame Covid and one of the 2 people who didn't seem to want to work. If I wanted to waste this much time, I would have went to McD's. 9/6/24 - I regret my decision anymore to go to this Sonic for the wait is depressing, especially in the evening. It's so bad that I'm writing this review as I wait in the drive-thru. I don't blame the employees entirely, I also blame management for putting profits first and only having 2 employees run the whole place, in turn, causing customers to not want to come back because of the service. Disappointing. I'll get over it and probably come back in a week or so and just continue this...
Read moreI'm a dasher. I've had my issues with almost every restaurant I pick up from, but Sonic takes the cake. To pick up my food, I have to stand by a door and wait for the employees (who may not even see me) to notice I'm there for DoorDash. Then, once I have been noticed, I have to KEEP waiting in whatever weather is going on outside. They will not bring my order to my car, a place where I can keep myself at a reasonable temperature without worrying about precipitation, and it's ridiculous! I understand why I am no longer able to walk in and grab the food, it's a safety issue that's completely reasonable. But why should I have to wait outside for what could be a long time for my DoorDash order in cold, extremely hot, rainy, or any other inconvenient weather the day brings? It's completely unprofessional on Sonic's part. What should happen is the dasher should pull into a stall, notify the employees they have arrived, and wait in their cars for them to bring out the food. And I know it's not a problem for the employees, whom which I have heard similar complaints from.
