Nice, quiet "locals" spotfor walking in the off season. Tides go way in & out. Opportunities for finding creatures when tide is out. Calm waters for little swimmers in the summer & early fall. Lifeguards & open bathrooms only in summer between school letting out & Labor Day. Parking is limited and, in the summer restricted to residents with beach pass. Public boat launch & parking lot adjacent to Millway Beach, and delicious fried fish stand & market within walking distance--again, in the summer only. Quaint Barnstable...

There are a lot of beaches in cape cod to choose from, but this relatively small beach is very special. With Barnstable harbor close by, restaurant and clam shack, this beach is a favorite destination for us. Have dinner and walk the beach and see excellent sunsets, or grab take out at the nearby clam shack and lay a blanket on the beach, letting the kids play in the shallow pools catching hermit crabs when the tide is out. Not usually crowded, so you can find quiet space to relax and take in the...

I’ve been to Millway Beach over the past 30 years but mostly in October so it’s open to non residents. Cars pull in and look at the water for a few minutes and then leave. This happens over and over when we are there. I’m sure during the season you can’t get a parking spot on many days.

The real bathrooms are closed in the off season but this year there was a porta-potty. If the porta-potty is not there then there are always porta-potties at the boat ramp just a...

A beautiful place to come. I am visiting from out of town and walked to a local coffee shop. One of the locals there told me I needed to walk over to this beach! I was so excited and walked over (about 15 minute walk from Nirvana Coffee). It was a nice walk and the beach was well worth it. Not too busy. Met some friendly people.

Beautiful residential only beach. You can park down the street at a local restaurant if you aren’t walking. A great place to see the sunset. No waves here so great for tots and littles to explore and try out the ocean. In low tide you can walk almost a quarter mile out. Recommend for a quick stop or a calm place to go.
