From the outside it’s a cute place, the ambiance was warm the waitress greeted and seated us. The wait time between order and meal arrival was standard, we were there around lunch time on a Thursday. Not busy at all. The waitress checked and updated us on our meal status appropriately. At the end she forgot to inform us we needed to pay at the counter, another waitress had to as she noticed us waiting 😀. The food was tasty and filling, portion size was normal as were the price. Group of 4 the bill was about $100.00. For the road I got a muffin for the road. I was introduced to grilled muffin, not something I would try again. I don’t need to additional fat, in my head I imagine grill marks but I never thought about the oil or butter they had to put in the muffin to grill it. It wasn’t bad just not my thing at this stage of my life.
Edit, I visited with my family February 22nd, I was served by Issy, she was a beautiful young lady, very knowledgeable courteous. The young lady that seated us was also very sweet. I tried the bacon FIG burger it was delicious. The bathroom is very clean and not overly deodorized. Would recommend every time. Keep up the good work you...
Read moreOur first breakfast at the butter cup cafe, and it will certainly not "bee" the last! The decorating and colors are modern and happy, with a bee theme. Staff is very friendly and service was quick with everything done exactly as ordered. They have a limited number of tables with umbrellas outside which would be really nice to have breakfast or lunch and people watch in the village.
I highly recommend the butter cup cafe. They originally planned to open in the spring of 2020, but the pandemic kept them shut, however, they're tough and hung in there to deliver a great breakfast and lunch service to Barnstable village. Enjoy!
update: it's been a while since visiting the cape, but we needed an escape from "daily life". We took our daughter to the Buttercup for breakfast and it was a great experience again! Very friendly and attentive service, with quick service and no errors. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we had so much, we brought some home. The generous portion of Brioche French was very tasty, though next time we'd definitely add the blueberries or bananas as well....
Read moreIm a Cape Cod local and this place is a newer cafe that was on my list to try. Let me start by saying this little cafe is SO CUTE.
Pros: They sell quality Cape Cod Coffee. They have a good size breakfast and lunch menu that gives you options, but not too many options. Their waitstaff was excellent and very friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Finally, their selection of baked goods looked TO DIE FOR.
Cons: It’s definitely a smaller place, even though it’s a sit down restaurant. The prices are fair, but not the cheapest around. The food was very good, but definitely didn’t blow my mind away.
As shown in the pictures, we got:
The Brunch Burger with parm fries The Monte Christo Sandwich with parm fries A side of the Triple Berry French Toast
The burger was pretty good. Just a burger with an egg on it, so nothing special. The sandwich was loaded with meat. Fair warning it was a little salty but I love salt. And the French toast was just some French toast, can’t...
