Liberty has all the essentials: preferred park equipment, rentable gazebos, basketball courts, a walk-around reservoir, and public restrooms. It is clean, but needs renovation. A large portion of the park equipment is older and rusted, but still functions. Liberty has gained recent additions, but there has not been major structural changes. Liberty is the designated spot for local events and parties. It also hosts the Batesville High School Varsity baseball team's home games. Parking can be difficult to find on game days and the lack of parking surrounding the outskirts of the park can be frustrating. Liberty does have a small dog park and a small nature reservation area for local birds. Location is great, as it is surrounded by residential neighborhoods. It is near the Knights of Columbus building and a sports complex. The park can be easily found and it is near downtown. I highly recommend a visit, but push for...

Bathrooms are nasty, they do not have small trash bins for feminine products, nor baby changing stations unless you walk all the way across the park to the other nasty bathrooms that they don't clean. Spider webs and eggs in the bathrooms, paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. Half of the park is rocks which are soooo annoying to walk on. When having to chase a kid you get slowed down? Its so much work to just walk through. Today when I went some kids had a BB gun? Shooting other kids with it. Also whats up with taking out the sand pit? And we leave rocks? Huh. Omg I cant stand this place. Horrible wifi too. Trash left everywhere. Teenagers with a bunch of stuff they...

Just 5 min off of the interstate, this is a great park. They have some older playground equipment from maybe around the 70s which was fun to see and the kids really enjoyed it. They also have a newer section that was very nice. They have some benches for adults to sit on. There are a lot of picnic tables including a large pavilion! There is a dog park on site as well. I saw many people walking their dogs on leashes. There was a walking path but we didn't check that out so I couldn't say how far it went. The restrooms were very clean!

The park sits in a nice area and seemed very safe. I saw two policeman patrol the park while we were there.

I highly...

Liberty Park is a fantastic park! They have pickleball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, a gaga ball pit, a whole playground, a baseball field, an ice cream shop called Sweets, a reservoir you can walk a half mile loop on gravel around, a dog park, a nature reserve space, a frisby golf course, a veteran memorial, a big pavilion with a stage, tables, kitchen, restrooms, and wifi, and a walking path that connects to the YMCA, the Plex (baseball fields), the Bill Gillespie soccer park, the skatepark, Liberty Park, and the paved trail of Brums Woods. It's a great place to take your family and enjoy the outdoors! 🌳🌤

I'm strictly making my rating based on fishing. Bass fishing in particular. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible. I managed to catch one a little under 3 pounds, and a much smaller one. The problem is you can't see any noticable cover along the bank to give you an idea where they might be hiding. Other than that it was a nice park.
