My grandkids, ages 8 and 6 loved the Children's section. There were several "hands on" exhibits, a costume area and lots of buttons to push to make things light up! We drive down from Conroe and my sister drives up from Corpus Christi to spend time with the kids. They want to make the museum a regular stop on...

People working continued to.remind us they were closing @ 4. We arrived at 245. Lady was mopping down stairs and as soon As she seen we were.coming down stairs she asked if we checked In and if we were aware they would be closing soon. Liked the layout and the TRUE History just.nit fond of Greeting...

They are never open!!! How can visitors or tourists learn about the history of the town if you arer never open? They are closed on the weekends and holidays plus only open half a day when they are open. We've tried to go the Matagorda County Museum six times and they are...
