Carniceria La Vaquita #5 — Attraction in Beaumont

I’ve been here twice, once in the morning by myself to pick up a concha off of the rack which was very soft and delicious, but the second time I went was during lunch and the conchas and pastries were allllll so incredibly dry and stale- tasted like cardboard.

Ate at the restaurant inside the market. The cheese birria tacos were good, the sopas was mediocre, but the chips from the bar were actually really pretty good.

Unfortunately the service here at the restaurant was horrible.

I don’t know if it’s because my husband and I aren’t Mexican or if Latin decent, but it was very clear that we were treated different because we looked different and didn’t speak Spanish. The people in front of us and behind us spoke Spanish and ordered food in Spanish and they were greeted with smiles. I was a Lil nervous coming here since I only know a decent amount of Spanish. But, I'd say I had pretty good 1st experience. This store is quite busy even through all this construction going on. This is one of my favorite places to visit for tacos they are always fresh and give you more than enough. The juice bar is awesome I love to get the watermelon juice every thing is squeezed/pressed fresh every day.
