I only purchased the child's hamburger. My appetite is not huge for the very large adult sized Whataburgers. However , there was a problem one morning when I ordered a large cup of coffee with no cream or sugar. When I arrived at the drive up window to purchase the large cup of coffee I ordered, the woman at the window insisted that I take a very small cup of coffee for free, "Senior Coffee", since the woman apparently knew before I arrived at the drive up window my age. Yes, I am 73 years old. However, how did this woman know my age? Telepathy? My license plates on the car? It's not cool at all. I told the woman I wanted a large cup of coffee with money in hand. I am weary of people stalking me. I tossed the coffee back her. This stalking has been occurring in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi since I was very ugraciously ejected from my job of 15 years. I had experienced ageism and racism in the workplace for the final 2 years of my employment. I fact, I was threatened at work by a black supervisor. I reported the incident to Human Resources, who chose to take no action against the supervisor. I had worked close to 45 years at many different employers in numerous industries with various responsibilities. At one point in my lifetime of work, I worked with laborers and with truck drivers. Never had I been threatened by an employee before that incident in 2015. I was forced out of my job of 15 years in San Antonio, TX, in September 2016. I had just had my 66th birthday. How is it you people know my age and status? License plates/registration? This craziness has been going on since September 2016. You people almost killed me in the auto wreck in San Antonio, TX on September 30, 2017. An entirely different topic than Whataburger in Beaumont, TX, but unfortunately, related. No...
Read moreTonight we had the worst experience at h this whataburger! There was 1 girl working the front who had a big chip on her shoulder. We walked in happy and unfortunately within minutes this girl pissed us off. It’s sad that management didn’t do ANYTHING to address her behavior. I order the chicken strip combo and asked for gravy upon ordering, my husband ordered the #1 with onion rings. When she brought the food out my gravy was missing and instead they gave me bbq sauce, my husband didn’t get the onion rings. When I went up to the front to ask, her response was “where is your receipt?” Girl I literally ordered less than 5 minutes ago and no one else ordered after us. Then she has the nerve to say 1 let co up per person.
I’ve been to many whataburger and NEVER had anyone said 1 ketchup per person.
My husband got upset because of her unprofessional behavior and asked for a manager. The MANAGER did NOTHING! Didn’t apologize or anything for that girls behavior.
I don’t know who is managing that store but something needs to change.
This girl had the audacity to say “you’re not special” I have other orders. We never said we were special but when you bring an order out you bring complete orders.
Then she said she gets paid by the hour so whatever.
I hope corporate does something about the behavior at that store and helps managers lead.
I will continue to share this story because it’s a shame that we...
Read moreWe stopped with a large group traveling through. The customer service was TERRIBLE. I completely understood the situation at first glance when we walked in, they were under-staffed. What irritated me was the fact that we were not acknowledged upon entering. The shift manager was at the register, taking both counter and drive-thru orders. I understand how overwhelming it can be, as I've worked in this industry in the past. But, just the basic customer service skills, such as, acknowledging when customers walk through the door to letting them know you'll be with them shortly to apologizing for delay due to being short-staffed. It's ALL understandable. We didn't give her a hard time, we patiently waited to order as well as for our food. Definitely not a location I will be stopping by when driving through Beaumont in the future. It's difficult to enjoy food, you know is good, when the customer service is not there, and was terrible. She even went as far as to locking the lobby doors so no other customers could come inside...she also wasn't very nice to those waiting in the drive-thru line. Again, customer service was terrible. It's a customer service...
