Monterey House Restaurant — Restaurant in Beaumont

It was HORRIBLE!!! Our waitress never told us her name but she was an older Hispanic woman with a bow in her hair that made it very obvious that she did not care to wait on our table. I felt as if I had done something wrong. I even asked my friend if she knew her, thinking it could be something personal, but my friend said no. Anyways once our waitress took our drink orders we asked for extra napkins, that never happened, she brought our drinks then took our food orders and we dare not ask any questions about the menu cuz she was very nasty with her responses. When she brought our food I had asked for an extra plate cuz the plate with my grandbabies mini pizza was hot so as she turned an almost sprinted away I called to her "ma'am" and she all but yelled at me "I heard you!" I really feel like this was personal but can't imagine what I could've done. She was talking an laughing with the tables that were actually getting waited on while most of what we recieved had to be requested thru another waitress. This is supposed to be a family oriented place but we got nothing but bad vibes the food was great but from what I experienced if you want good service, TAKE NO CHANCES on getting the waitress we had an just ask for the tall...

After eating here many times, I will not be back. Hot sauce was a tomato in a cup. Our queso was chunky. My no. 7 was fry chicken in a flour tortilla. It stated on the menu it was marinated. This clearly was not the case. The grand baby literally spit it out. She loves Mexican food. Upon check out I voiced my concerns regarding the food. The manager simply said well, our food is the same everyday. I suppose that explains why I will not be back. She offered nothing further. I paid $37 for a lunch with all of our food still on our plates - 1-2 bites that we tried to get down. The manager brought crackers to the table and gave to the grandbaby while we were eating. VERY unprofessional, we had a party of about 8, for starters the waitress we had started the service off with an attitude. My wife was trying to figure out what she wanted to drink and the waitress continued to tap her shoulder till she told her what she wanted. Ordered a margarita (which was half decent) and it was a little on the sour side. I’m not a rude guy but when I brought it up to my waitress she seemed pretty aggravated. She basically told me I’ll have to keep it cause they never had a complaint before (not a problem) well the owner comes out and she was VERY rude about the fact that I didn’t want the drink.
