Yesterday after having paid $72 for four boys to play for 2 hours a less then tactful employee approached 2 of the boys who were having issues with their stickers / badges. They were about halfway into their playtime and had become sweaty. And their name tags we're no longer sticking to their clothing. One boy put his in his sock the other was showing is unsticking sticker to his friend when they were both approached by an employee in the big jumping area. The employee took the badges / stickers said They look fake and tore them up did this guy try to verify? Did he tried to find me? Did he call for management? No he ruined the birthday party it was going great other than the sticker issue. Upon being informed of this I had two choices to addressed directly then and there risking more confrontation and dampening completely the festive mood of the birthday party. Or to seek out owners and address it with them later. I chose the latter because we had other things planned and it seemed better to opt for ice cream. This happened a little after 5:30. Saturday May 21st. I will update everyone with the owner's response or non-response whichever it maybe UPDATE Here is there response: After checking our camera and talking to the guys that where on main court at the time the kids had the wrong color stickers. Every day we have a different color for the same reason that kids lose the stickers and they just come and grab one from our sticker ball or find one and keep it not knowing we have a different color each day. The color we usually use on Saturdays is purple or royal blue and according to our jump guard when he asked to see their stickers it was red and it had 5:15 written on there. Mr Bowers arrived at 4:28 and paid for 2 hours so the sticker should have been 6:30pm, which it was at first when the girls wrote it, and it was the correct color as well. If the kids lose the sticker we replace it with a new one, all you have to do is go to the front, show your receipt, and we will get you a new one. The jump guard even went to go ask our front cashier if she had changed the color for the day by any chance since that kid said one of the girls at the front wrote him that sticker. They didn't have a reserved birthday party they just came in to jump. All Mr Bowers had to do was ask to speak to a manager or a supervisor so we could get the kids new stickers if you paid for your time and you have proven that you did, like the receipt, we don't have an issue in getting the kids a new one. The jump guard was just doing his job by making sure that everyone that is jumping has a sticker, the correct time and color, and that the time is not expired. They jump for almost the two hours and we also have a no refund policy so in this case we won't be able to do a refund. We do apologize if the jump guards made the kids feel bad, that was not our intention. Like I mentioned before the jump guards were just trying to do their job. The guard? We have GUARDS at jump world? Did not check the sticker color prior to telling the kids they were fake and tearing them up on the spot.
I had been outside and walked into this mess of jump worlds making.
I walked back in to kids running to me highly upset and rightly so. they were treated unjustly. Sized up the situation and made the decision to leave a little past the halfway point.
In regards to this being an unscheduled Birthday Party ... Yes it was unscheduled but it was a Birthday party never the less and was which was ruined and ended in tears due to the staffs inappropriate actions and attitude. I really expected more from Management than weak justifications. Furthermore if they were following their posted policy which shows wristbands for ID rather than stickers this would have been a non issue.I cannot ...
Read moreWe have always loved coming to Jumping World. Our grandchildren love the wide open spaces and I have never had any safety concerns. The management has always been very kind and accommodating in the past.
This past Sunday, however, we were very disappointed in the management at Jumping World. While I am not a huge fan of the games (my whole point in going is to get the kids active and moving) they are definitely an attraction for the kids. We usually buy them a $20 card each and let them play on our way out.
My granddaughter was overjoyed when she hit 1000 points on one of the games. She was standing there watching her points add on to her card (which can be quite a long process) and the machine said her points had been added . . . swipe again to play. So she did. To her dismay, the machine only gave her 88 of her 1000 points. We went to the desk to ask, and they said she should have waited until all 1000 points had been added to her card, and there was nothing they could do to solve the problem. The manager said the machine said do not swipe until all the points had been added to her card. This was clearly not the case. The machine, in fact, said all the points HAD been added to her card and she should swipe again. The points range from 1 - 50, and the only next level is 1000 points. So clearly if any points over 50 had been added on that game it shows that she had earned 1000 points.
After a long, but unfruitful discussion with the manager, my granddaughter went back and won the 1000 points again, but waited patiently for her points to be added (and in the mean time, tying up the machine so no one else could use it). My husband took a picture of the machine at 287 points while it said to swipe again. While my granddaughter was happy to spend her points on the trivial items that can be purchased, she was still very disappointed that her previous efforts had not been rewarded.
How difficult would it have been for the manager to give her credit for the points that were not added by the machine? The prizes that she could have purchased clearly do not amount to the amount of money that we spent on the game card. This is just a common courtesy that should be bestowed on all customers. While I know that some choose to abuse the system, there was no way that it could be disputed that she earned the points.
We will definitely go back to jump at this establishment again, but we will not be spending money on the machines due to...
Read moreWent here on a whim over the weekend to give the kids something to do. My first impression was that the complex was much larger than I expected.
I was leery after reading reviews that the place was dirty with careless staff, but we did not have the same experience. Was it spotless? No, but I didn't feel that there was anything to be concerned about- given the number of kids going crazy inside, the cleanliness was better than expected. Likewise for the staff issues that others mentioned; when we asked for help, they delivered, but stayed out of the way otherwise. I prefer that to them acting like prison guards. We were there for two hours and didn't see anyone doing anything egregiously dangerous that required intervention. The kids really enjoyed it.
As far as the negatives- there aren't many. The only things that come to mind: Several of the arcade games were broken (but still plenty available). Food and drink selection was extremely limited and a little on the expensive side. The special attractions that require an additional charge aren't great, and I felt that they were a little overpriced for what they were. We did the water wheel and mechanical bull, and the kids weren't really into them. But I suppose that this is subjective. Better lighting in certain areas wouldn't hurt.
Overall though, it was an enjoyable time and we will be back. You could easily spend half a day here to keep kids active and...
