Hartz Chicken Buffet — Restaurant in Beaumont

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER ! My First time I ever ate at this place !I CAUGHT FOOD POISON FOR THE FIRST TIME . I bought a chicken meal with sides on 8/3/22 yesterday Keep in mind this is the only thing I’ve eaten all day besides a coffee and a muffin earlier in the morning from Starbucks I went to bed lastnight woke up at 1:00am 8/4/22 and experienced abnormal watery DIARRHEA (excuse the details) then 5 seconds later I vommited ! I DONT KNOW IF THE CHICKEN WAS COOKED IMPROPERLY OR LACK OF CLEANLINESS WHEN HANDLING CUSTOMERS FOOD . IT IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO KEEP HANDS WASHED ALWAYS, USE GLOVES IF NEED BE AND ASURE CUSTOMERS FOOD ARE HANDLE CAUTIOUSLY !!!! I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! THIS CAUSED ME TO BE HOSPITALIZED AND UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS WHAT THE DOCTOR TOLD ME I HAVE CAUGHT FROM HERE !!!! OVERALL IM FEELING SLIGHTLY BETTER NOW THAN BEFORE BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND PLEAS DONT GO HERE !!!!!!! I HAVE A FOOD HANDLERS AND I DOUBT IT IF ANYONE OR SOMEONE...

Without a doubt the restaurant most in need if an emergency visit from the health department I have visited in a long time. Had their buffet. OMG... items on the buffet had been there long enough that a crust had formed. The mashed potatoes looked like oatmeal. Gizzards were actually hard from how long they had been there. Truly ridiculous! Even worse... customer after customer tool their same Styrofoam platter back up and refilled it - the same one they had eaten from. One customer asked for a new one and was told to use the one they had. Did we not just come through a pandemic??? Run, don't walk as fast as you can away from this case of food poisoning waiting to happen! Calling the health department first...

The chicken and the ROLLS were superb! I used to love Church's chicken until their chicken went down ( refried chicken, old grease) and had been looking for good chicken without having to go inside Golden Corral ( WONDERFUL CHICKEN)! Hartz fit the bill, there is a wait, but it's worth it and the chicken is fresh EVERYTIME. The mashed potatoes are great also, but the Jalapeños have been hard everything. 😫 The customer service is questionable, but that is because youngsters are employed there and they've been playful inside each time I've been in the drive thru.
