Bedford Highlands — Attraction in Bedford

LOVE love love IHOP! Everything is expensive now a days, pretty much everywhere you go..... unfortunately. I took my daughter here for brunch for her 10th birthday (per her request before we went shopping at the mall). This is the closest IHOP to us & it's still a 30 min drive BUT happy they have one in Bedford. It was only her and I eating, she got a single kids smiley face pancake with fresh fruit on the side & a chocolate milk, I think. I got breakfast as well..... 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon, & 2 pancakes, with an orange juice. In my head I'm thinking this will cost me $25-30 at most, WRONG! It cost me in total $50 including a 20-25% tip. I was shocked it cost me that much for the 2 of us. She enjoyed it as well as did I. No one sang happy birthday, our waitress did wish her a happy birthday though.... She was wearing a bright pink birthday sash, letting everyone know I'M THE BIRTHDAY GIRL! Food was decent, staff was nice and friendly. Outside landscaping was crazy looking (looked like a deserted restaurant from the outside looks) inside restaurant was good and clean.

Next time I'll make pancakes at home for us, I'm confident I can make a great smiley face...

While listed as a shopping mall, I don't know that I would characterize it that way. What it really is ... is an out-of-the-way spot up off of Route 3 / DW Highway in Bedford that has both a Target and a Lowes.

Both stores have a large physical foot print and the inventory is extensive at each store. There is plenty of parking and the access is easy. Went to Target and you would've thought it was the apocalypse. The place was a disaster. Clothes, shoes, accessories were thrown everywhere. I haven't been to this Target in a while and I don't plan on going back anytime soon. Only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 is because even thru all the mess I did end up getting a new bathing suit and a nice birthday card for a friend. Lowe's and the 2 restaurants never disappoints so 5...
