Bella Vista Public Library — Attraction in Bella Vista

I started bringing my 4 year old daughter here for some wholesome weekday fun. After work/school we would rush to the kids program. Last Thursday we walked up to the table of kids and the librarian ignored my daughter until another child continued to tell her my daughter was standing there. I asked if she could join them in coloring when she looked right at my daughter, wrinkled her nose, and said no, you’re late. I went to the front desk to let them know what happened and the woman at the desk with the short blond hair told me “I have a hard time believing that she said that”. I looked at my daughter and said “ did she let you color?” . She continued to tell me she didn’t believe that happened. She did not get up to ask the children’s librarian or help or comfort my daughter. Embarrassed and hurt at being treated like this while everyone stared at me I started crying and left. ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY THE UNWELCOMING AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR. Everytime I been in there staff don't ask if you need help, all rude and had to go to front desk to ask for help and lady told me i don't know where stuff is at this location I'll find someone to help 15 min later I found the location by myself and staff never came and helped. I was in there another time a lady and child where asking people in parking lot and staff told her and her get off property when lady was asking for a ride or to use there phone she needed help all they could do is get off this property couldn't help her though it was rude of staff to do that she could of been in danger the staff are heartless of them for not even asking what was wrong with her or...

I really like this place. I have always enjoyed spending time at libraries and this is by far the most comfortable and welcoming one I've ever visited. They have books, movies, music, fishing poles, Lego tables, a telescope, puzzles, tackle kits and probably a lot of stuff I haven't even found yet. All of the librararians are very sweet and helpful. This is the epitome of what a library should be and Ben Franklin would bawl like he just watched The Office series finale if he could see what the Bella Vista Public Library has done with his idea of sharing books.
