if i could put zero stars, i would. but since this is google, i can’t do that. me and my mom went to breakfast today wanting some good breakfast. this place USED. to be a good place and it was her favorite place to go for breakfast, today was horrible. when we got there the lady first said to sit somewhere we did not want to do we asked if we could have a different seat, she said “yes, let me clean the table first.” we said ok that fine we will wait. after that i was standing right behind her and heard her talking about how customers always want everything when they are short on people and they can’t just deal with what they have. she then turned around and seen i was standing there, and started to quite down but still talking while my mom and i are sitting there. when we got our food gravy was very water and very gross. got maybe 3 very thin pieces of ham with my order. my mom asked our waitress for new gravy and very rudely she snatched the plate from her then preceded to come back with more runny gravy. eggs were hard. and just overall, just a horrible experience. waitress were rude stepping in and out. never going...
Read moreNot a great experience, sadly, because I had heard good things and wanted to try it. First, I want to say my omelet was very good! But, I had ordered my hash browns crispy and covered with cheese and they were not crispy, were lukewarm, and the cheese wasn’t melted because they were so cool. My husband’s ham steak was cold—not on the griddle long enough to warm it up. He also ordered his eggs over medium and they were barely cooked over easy! So runny! His hash browns were ordered crispy, and were also barely warm and the cheese not melted. The toast arrived when we were halfway done with our meals, was not buttered or cut, and wasn’t very warm. The waitress comped my husband’s meal, even though we ate all of our food and were happy to pay for it. So, that was nice. She also brought him a warmed piece of ham. Tip to the chef: cook the food to how it is ordered, even if it takes a little longer. It is better for the customer to be satisfied with the quality of their order than to try to impress them by getting it out of the kitchen fast. Cold, undercooked food is...
Read moreUpdate: It’s been about a month and we came back to try the breakfast. Overall, same issues as below. The quality of the food and service doesn’t match the premium pricing. Our eggs were not cooked as requested, the hash browns were cool and not crispy, and the biscuits tasted dry and of the frozen type. They forgot to add bacon to my order and forgot my wife’s toast. They had plenty of help, but seemed unorganized. Overall not a good experience or value for our money.
The overall quality of the food and the service isn’t worth the premium prices, in my opinion (Cracker Barrel is cheaper, as an example). The mash potatoes were cold, and not good. The country fried steak was decent, but very tough. The fried okra was good. The hamburger steak was excellent. Our sweet tea was old, had a slight spoiled taste to it. The service was overall okay, forgetting a side item, but no big deal. We will return for a future visit, as it is local to us. I will review (update) in the future and hoping to be able to give 5-stars. They just...
