Please read prior to booking

We stayed two separate nights at this motel, one night before the trip after our flight and one night after the trip before our flight in the morning. The first night the room was very poorly cleaned with a cracked bath tub and rolls of toilet paper on the holder that were half empty. We are not high maintenance travelers by any stretch of the imagination and only booked this motel because we were led to believe there is a shuttle service from the airport and the we were misled by the pictures which are deceiving. The first night we thought we would be courteous and just leave without complaining thinking it may just be a fluke. I will give credit where credit is due, the continental breakfast was good and there were no issues with that. However, on the second night, we had a terrible experience. Once we arrived, the smell of marijuana filled the air outside and this lasted the entirety of our stay (which was short lived). We started walking to the room and were approached by two suspicious looking men asking about which room ours was and other uncomfortable questions. I was already in the room at the time and did not hear him talking to the women I was with. This was enough for us to start looking around at other hotels just for the safety aspect, but the room was the cherry on top. If the beds were not made, I would suspect no one went in that room since the last guests left. There were stains on both beds and just about everything was dirty. We did not set our bags down or start unpacking anything. We confirmed there was a room at a nearby hotel and then I went to the front desk. In the workers defense, she did not have much power to help us in this situation, but she did not offer a different room or any compensation. She told me the manager would be in the next morning. I come in the next morning and the manager is not there, but I do give my phone number to the worker there and was told the manager would call by 11 to talk about the stay. 11:30 rolls around and I decide to call. It rang until eventually I could leave a voicemail. I hung up and dialed *67 before their number so they were not able to see who was calling and they picked up on the second ring. I finally get through to the manager about the room and after an email chain with pictures of the room, I do get a refund. Save yourself the headache and trouble and just book with a hotel or at least a better motel than this one. If you do decide to book here, I recommend documenting the lack of housekeeping when you first go in just in case you want to seek any sort of compensation. Regarding the topic of responses from the hotel manager, I have two issues. One is that all of the problems we have experienced, multiple people have also experienced from these reviews and although management promises to fix these issues, there was nothing improved whenever we stayed. Secondly, every response is written by ChatGPT which I find both comical and lazy. The only part not written by AI in all of them is the sincerely, hotel manager. Just thought I would throw that out there as well.

In conclusion, please reconsider booking this motel. Is safety and comfort really worth saving a few bucks?
