The food and portions are good and the place is nice with ample parking but...

Never call a customer liar just because he/she asked a simple question. Customer service is something I take very seriously when considering where to spend my hard earned money.

I politely made a simple question why the very same thing I had been ordering for weeks for dinner kept going up in price (to be clear, yes the exact same order, no deviation, and no not 7 days a week, only once every thursday or friday for dinner). The price charged was different 3 times in the 6 weeks in a row I visited the establishment once a week for dinner, thus I thought it was a very reasonable question.

The answer given by the person servicing me was that I was wrong and it had always cost the same. I verified my card statement just in case I was wrong, but I was correct, they were wrong and I have the statements to prove it. I did not argue, I simply just never returned.

Being called a liar instead of being polite and courteous and instead at least giving the customer a reasonable excuse (for example: "oh sorry sir, we apologize, but our prices have recently gone up", which would've been perfectly acceptable) is the perfect way to not only lose me as a customer, but guarantee that I let everyone know how to expect to be treated as a customer in said...

I expected the food at this location to be fresh but the experience was terrible. I picked up lunch and 1 hour after eating the rice, chicken and sweet plantains I became very ill and went into a vomiting episode ! The food tasted like it was cooked in old recycled oil and sitting in trays all morning ? I was disappointed that social distancing and no mask was mandatory in location, it was 1pm and not 1 person was seen cleaning any tables or doors ? I should have known if they are not cleaning and sanitizing tables and counters that the food would be treated with the same concerns the don’t care attitude by the employees. The employees were not friendly or helpful, the desserts didn’t look fresh or inviting just stacked up for sales, this location is new and obviously in need of new leadership skills ? I've been going to other locations in the Orlando area for years and thought I'd try this place out since it has a similar name to my favorite locations. The food is just ok. (I got the pulled pork, rice with meat, red beans, avocado/tomato salad, and some type of dessert I've never had before it looked like a slice of pie made with raisins inside). I got a small variety for my meal to assess whether or not I'd be returning. Unfortunately I can't say that I will be. The employees are very nice though. I would suggest 2 other Lechonera's personally. One is located on Curryford just West of Conway and the other is at East Colonial and Dean. Overall those locations just have more variety and better tasting food to be honest. Another spot is called La Primera which is on Semoran just North of 408. Now they're a little cheaper than the other 2 I suggested but you get what you pay for. I can say they also have a larger variety and are just better tasting as well compared to the place...
