Super disappointed in our experience here. We booked a couples massage for our 10yr anniversary. First time going for a massage so we were excited but not sure what to expect. We were greeted almost as if they didn't know we had a scheduled & prepaid appointment. We were then put in the massage room with no instructions as to what to do. After asking we were instructed to undress & lay on the table. Two women came in & just started massaging us. I requested deep tissue massage, & that was a mistake on my part. Three times I had to stop or readjust due to pain. They really get in there. My entire back was bruised the next day. However the ability to relax at all while the noise of pans banging from the neighboring Pizza Hut paired with their stores music made it impossible to enjoy. The music from Pizza Hut was louder than the music in the massage room. The women also were talking to each other during the service. We booked a hour long massage & were given 45mins at best. The real kicker was as we were leaving my husband was ahead of me & I heard him talking to the ladies, assuming they were asking how things went. NOPE. They were demanding a tip. Being as we booked online & there is no tip option we figured we would just give cash at the end of the appointment. Communication was difficult with a language barrier so they simply pointed to the fee schedule on their front desk & said TIP. This was also before checking the room to see if we had left it there. Tipping is based off of the service you received. Not a mandatory expectation. The tone & vibe definitely changed when we were being asked for it. Sound proof your rooms, communicate with your clients, provide the service & experience that is paid for, then be BOLD enough to ask for a tip. As a first experience this was definitely not what I had in mind. As a side note, I will mention that the level of comfort & privacy was questionable to me as well. Undergarments were pulled down further than I felt necessary or comfortable with. Just a overall weird feeling. The facility itself presents as clean & relaxing. After leaving my review today I browsed the other reviews. There's a very clear pattern of expecting tips, specifically a $20 min. I see a lot of follow up from the spa, trying to explain away poor experiences or reviews. However what I don't see is them ever addressing the tip expectation that they have. Nor the aggressive way that they demand it. Weird

Well I’m 64 and new at professional massages. Probably 30 yrs ago, I went to a massage school in Everett and paid $25 for an hour for student massage and I thought it was great. My daughter gave me a 90 min for Mother’s Day and I just used it today. I can’t compare with anyone or any place, but I fricken loved it. I’m low income since recently retiring but I’m already trying to budget a lil each month to get a 60 min massage for myself every 3 months. Plus I advertised to family that I only want a massage for anyone wanting to buy me a gift. Love this place…Highly recommend. Try it and share if you are diverse in other spas.

It’s my first time to come to this spa. First of all, the environment is beautiful, the room and bathroom are neat and clean, and my therapist’s skills are really great! This is one of the best massages I have ever had. Although the masseuse's English was average, he was able to understand the areas where I needed to strengthen the massage. I entered a semi-sleep state and felt very relaxed. It was a wonderful massage. , I was very happy to spend 90 minutes of treatment here. No one forced me to tip before leaving, but I was willing to tip my masseuse, she deserved it! I will come back again!

Beware. This is their or at least their owners angle.

Thank you very much for visiting our website "Sunrise Health Spa ." "Sunrise Health Spa" means God is love. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) We truly believe the God's everlasting love and perfection and want to pass these virtues to our clients. That's why we call our shop "Sunrise Health Spa Massage." We will do our services according to God's Will and want to give all glory to our Lord. May God bless you and keep you! The Chris Sunrise Health Spa life is a long journey. It is a trip that throws away everything from the past, including the ideals, goals, dedication, burdens, etc., and then takes another route: “Whoever doesn’t take everything down (following I cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:33). This trip is hard to go, it has a lot of obstacles, and it's dead. However, this trip is very exciting. People who walk will be full of surprises, blessings, and renewal in their failures and sufferings. They will gradually be reborn and change their minds (not “stop” because they will continue to make progress). Goodness and good fortune in the beauty (paradise). "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Our bodies were created in the image of God. They are a gift from Heavenly Father to allow us to experience mortality and continue to become more like Him. This knowledge influences the way we treat our bodies and how we feel about Heavenly Father and ourselves. When we treat our bodies as temples of God, we obtain physical, emotional, and spiritual blessings. We believe that we not only provide our clients with exceptional massage and bodywork but we also deliver these services in a professional and down-to-earth manner. We take the time to get to know you which helps us give the best treatment for your individual needs and enjoy God's, everlasting love. Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. A massage is an effective tool for managing this stress,...

My mom got me a Groupon for my birthday. Oh man, I was not disappointed. Everything was very clean and tidy. The massage was amazing. I swear he knew every spot on my back that needed worked on. I even got a head and face massage, which I had never had before and that was amazing. I also got cupping done for the first time. I can’t wait to go back again.

I am rating this as a 2 star now due to my second appointment two weeks after my first.... Two weeks after my first appointment I used my second Groupon gift. After the service was over I was handed a cup of water and she asked for my card. I explained that I used my second Groupon and so it was already paid for. The older lady then told me I had to pay a tip. I explained that I didn’t have my purse on me and don’t carry cash, so I wasn’t able to tip and apologized. I was then asked to go get my purse and come back so I could tip. I live 40 minutes away, so that was not an option. After that she insisted that make another appointment and I can tip when I come back for my next service. I told her I was not able to do do that, that this was a gift I was using. She then asked me to use Venmo to tip. I do not use Venmo and I told her that. The young lady came up from the back and the older one used her to translate. I was then informed that because the VIP Groupon provided two services (massage and cupping) at such a discounted price (less than they charge) that I must tip at least $20 to cover the difference. Once I was adamant that I was not coming back, making another appointment, or using Venmo to tip, the older lady said that because of me the woman who provided the service does not get paid a tip and then snatched the cup of water from my hands and threw it away. I will absolutely not be coming back after this. It was the worst service I’ve ever had and can’t believe I was...
