OMG! What happened to the pizza?!? It used to be a special treat to get a gluten-free pizza from Far North. Previously, the staff kindly shared that they use Venice Bakery for their crusts and that made all the difference in the world.
They also used to have a Friday special that reduced the price quite a bit. A few months ago, they changed to a daily 2 pizza, 3-topping special so I treated my family to 2 gf pizzas.
They weren't ready when we arrived but my son had misunderstood the time we were told when we placed our order, so no problem for me to shop for 25 minutes while they finished cooking during the hectic rush.
I believe they even gave me a break on the price given the typical gf upcharge; both came to $30.44 with tax which looked like the published price for normal crust pizzas. Still worth it for saving me from cooking and giving us an occasional treat ... not this time.
Both pizzas were absolutely terrible. I have to believe they stopped using Venice Bakery crusts. They were cooked enough but gritty and tasteless. The picture I'm posting was supposed to be a pesto base with spinach and artichokes. Not seeing a hint of spinach and something was oddly wrong with the cheese. The whole thing was tough and truly inedible. I will check with them to see if they've changed their vendor who supplies the crust, but it is in no way close to a $30...
