Been driving by this place for a few years and finally decided to give it a try. Ordered los dos enamorados (carne asada and bacon wrapped shrimp). It was good, and more or less what I would expect at a Mexican restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. It was enough food for two especially with the chips and salsa. Was bummed that they didn't make the corn tortillas from scratch but they were still decent. Salsa and chips were good. We also got the flan and that was good. The place is a little rough, booths in rough shape and windows with some holes, but sort of makes it feel like Mexico. The service was great, fast and friendly. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

We found this place accidentally. Our motorhome broke down in BC, and we ended up coming through the Sumas border crossing. Agreed a brief trip through farmland on the 9 we ended up in Bellingham and eventually at this restaurant. The food was great, the service was good. It was a great experience. Free parking, plenty of free parking. Large menus, great prices. If you want authentic Mexican food then this is the place for you. Two thumbs up!

Stumbled upon this place with my dad while we were waiting for our tires to get changed and what a find. Everyone that works here is super nice and welcoming. It's really feels like your a guest in someone's home. Great esthetic. Really good food at a great price. Our server said they've been for for 20 years and I can see why. Extremely authentic and affordable. Will definitely be coming back here to try more food and their dessert's 👍🏼

Lilliana was a nice enough server. Came shortly after open with my baby and some friends and got a few drinks and some food. Drinks cost about as much as the food but it was all delicious. I get the feeling this place is a scam however as prices I was charged did not match prices on the menu.

Update:

I went again this time making sure to double check all the prices. I waited about 15 minutes for my Chile verde in a Pacifico and a bottle, the Pacifico was warm in the chile verde, rice, and beans were all very low quality and obviously microwaved. I have a feeling. The reason it took so long was it didn't want me to know that all they do is microwave Frozen food. I looked at the menu. The price for my food was $9.95, which honestly made sense for the low quality food that I was getting. When I asked for it to go box the waitress walked away and didn't come back with my bill, I had to walk up wave her down from the kitchen to get her to ring me out. When she rang me up, she tried charging me $16 for the chile verde, and $6 for the bottle of Pacifico. I'm glad I checked because I showed her their own menu with the prices that they set. She faint ignorance and said oh the lunch special, let me change that for you and then changed the price of the chili verde to $9.95 but still charged me $6 for the...

I recently had the misfortune of dining at this establishment, and unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. The food quality was subpar, and it seemed like you truly get what you pay for.

Food Quality The chips tasted more like fried fish than tortilla chips, which was bizarre. The carne asada was poorly cooked, with the meat being undercooked and almost breaking apart. It was also very thin. The queso was flavorless and had a strange flour taste. It lacked diced chiles or any noticeable seasoning. The rice had zero flavor, and while the beans were passable, they didn't save the meal.

Service The service was slow, which added to the overall frustration. The place had a noticeable odor of uncleanliness, which raised concerns about the kitchen's hygiene.

Dessert The cute little ice cream on a cinnamon chip they brought out at the end tasted like fried fish as well, which was a strange and unpleasant surprise.

Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the poor food quality, slow service, and questionable...

I was shocked when we tried to visit Plaza de Mexican and this place was at the same location in its place. I think it is same owners and place has not changed much but this was not a great experience.

First off, the service has gone way downhill here. The place cannot accommodate the amount of people that visit the place and gets so over crowded the service suffers. We waited about 10 times the usual wait time for our food and the staff could of cared less. Plus they raised the prices here for the same menu and entrees and drinks which makes this even a less desirable place to choose for local Mexican. If I want Mexican cheaper I can go down the street to Acapulco's in Franklin for about half the price. I am now less inclined to visit this place knowing the staff can't handle the crowds. However the food still is quality and...
