Great park with plenty of space to do your own thing. Nice paved pathways to walk, run, bike, skateboard or ride scooters. Paddle boat rentals for the lagoon. Many picnic shelters available. Restrooms are decently clean. The pavilion offers plenty of space for larger gatherings and various performances in the Summer. There are piers for lounging or fishing and to park some boats for a break from fun on the Rock River. Ducks and geese and numerous birds can be seen and heard to offer up some wildlife and nature. Plenty of shade trees too. There are also a couple tennis courts. Plenty of parking in a few different spots along the length of the park. In the summer there are some nice wildflowers planted along the river's edge and around the pavilion. Nice kid's park near the pavilion and you can usually spot some turtles in the little inlet off the Rock River. As ways, the park is well laid out with a one way in one way out and its completely fenced all the way around. which helps make it easier to keep an eye on the kids and more safety with the park being right next to the Rock River. This park has something for every one including small children. There are slides, various climbing things, forts, roll down hills and so much more... We saw several dogs that came through with their owners and they we super friendly and the kids kept wanting to pet them. This park is definitely worth a trip with the family but I am looking forward to exploring other ones...

The walking path is paved and flat, with water lillies along the river. There is also a large play area for kids and a paddleboat rental area. We usually go here for July 4th, but it was nice to see it during the day and not crowded. It was a very relaxing walk with river birch trees and other species along the path providing some shade. There is also a club house, very clean restroom facilities, and water fountains.
My only dislike was the amount of water fowl feces by the pond and on...
