Turtle Island Playground — Attraction in Beloit

Beautiful park, I love it when they have water in the creek that runs through the playground. Unfortunately this beautiful place is being brought down by the amount of litter surrounding it. We also went paddle boating and the employees working were not helpful what so ever. They didn't tell us how much, just pointed to a sheet. They didn't tell us which boats could be used, the first one we went for we didn't realize was locked to the dock. Normally I wouldn't complain about that but we had our little ones with us so it was quite a project to get everyone on the boat. The whole thing was a big guessing game. We still had fun but it would have been nice is the staff...

Nice spot with bike path, climbing/slides playground, cool like suspended swing thing, rope bridge, actual turtles in the pond with lots of lillypads. Cute lil interactive clean water kids creek to walk thru for funsies. Paddle boats in a lagoon with fountains and lots of geese. Bring a picnic, lovely pavilion with cheap concessions. Very nice park. I believe there was a lil observation area with scopes to gander. Only 4 stars cuz altho extremely reasonably priced and quite a lovely situation park, the paddle boats weren't the best we've had. Oh but they offer bike rental which is lovely. Tandom bikes! Cute place for kids and date ideas...

I love this playground! It has been clean every time we come and my son really loves the natural-ish materials used. The little crick that runs through the playground is the cutest thing. So good for littles who need to cool off. Only notes for improvement are that whoever cleans needs to look in the water, there are usually leftover cigarette butts still in there. Also, where the crick runs out of the park into the rock river, the fence has too much of a gap. Small children move very quickly and could slip under without any way for a parent to get to them.
