Belvidere Park District — Attraction in Belvidere Township

One of the best kept parks in Belvidere. If I were to make one suggestion, though, I'd say that they need to repaint the parking lines. Otherwise, they have wide ranging paths and beautiful old growth trees with lots of sculptures and dedicated benches to loved ones in the community. You can feel how much Belvidere citizens care about the park just by walking through it. The numerous water features and the many for bridges that cross it are another fun and interesting feature of this park. The swinging bridge is not to be missed, and has been present for years and years. My Mom and Uncle have find memories of this park in their childhood. So.. it has history, and with the care and attention it gets from the community, it endears...

We love this park! Beautiful space to walk, take pictures, and a few playground areas too. Lots of trees which is nice on warm, sunny days and they do have several picnic table areas. There is a bathroom down near the baseball field. In the winter they do a free drive thru light display too!

For fun- on a warm day you can also follow the path to Doty Park where they have a splash pad, large playground and 2 ice cream shops nearby. It's about a 10-12 minute walk from the...

Total joke now that the pool is closed. Taxpayers are being robbed to keep this place afloat with an incompetent board that has no plan or way forward for the pool. They also can't or don't want to keep the geese under control, I assume because they care more about pleasing the geese than the people who try to enjoy, and pay for the park. It's a nice location but the leadership didn't build it nor deserves any...
