Sips and Sprinkles — Restaurant in Belvidere Township

Love sips but very disappointed with our last experience. Would not rent out the back area for parties! Had my daughter 1st birthday here & was left not being able to enjoy it fulbecause half way through the party the general manager pulled me out of the party as if I was in trouble in-front of my whole family. Enough for them to notice & be concerned. She went on to talk over me about how I would be charged an additional 50 dollars for bringing outside food. Which I was in 3 times inquiring about the packages & procedures for the party & was never once told this. I was in contact with one staff member the entire time who was really great & came to the back area several times even & said nothing about the food being set up. The general manager went onto say it was on the website, which we then checked & NO WHERE did it say that it was absolutely mandatory to cater from there “3 other owned restaurants”. It only states it was an available option. After reviewing the receipt it said “outside food & DESERTS” if you plan on bringing a cake even, I assume youd plan on playing 50 additional dollars. She also stated that the owner of sips & sprinkles was on the cameras watching, saw the food & called to “chew her” out. Not at all my fault when I was not at all told clearly about the food situation. It’s not at all about the money & 100% the way this matter was addresses & handled. Especially when I was not exactly happy that we had to sweep before decorating, the trash was full when we arrived & a path way in the back was not shoveled at for people to walk, & the roof leaked on my guests but was willing to overlook it before this situation. Our family goes here often. No longer. I asked for a Two scoop waffle cone. And asked if I could have a cup with it to carry at home. She gave me two scoops in a cup and a waffle cone on the side. I then explained exactly what I needed that we always got. She realized her mistake . Then attempted to scrape the ice cream from the cup into the waffle cone making a mess of the cone. She then tried to take the ice cream which was two separate flavors and put them back into the tubs. Now the tubs have mixed flavors . Another employee another employee gave us cracked cones with ice cream dripping out of the cracks. I showed the employee the huge crack with 1/2 the cone falling away and asjed for a new cone and the employee sarcastically said it’s just a crack. Waffle cones crack all the time and we give them out . I looked at the other cone that she had given us and it was the same thing a huge crack right down the whole length of the cone. The cone was in two separate pieces. she then grabbed it out of my hand and threw it across the floor into a trashcan and went to get me another With an attitude. I asked her to disregard remaking the cones and then requested for a full refund. It was actually much worse in person than in this writing. Won’t be going back here anytime soon. Its rare for me to give any place a 5 star review, 4 stars yes. But in order to recieve a 5 star from me they have to be REALLY good, multiple times. And this place deserves it.

I have visited here many times from out of town. And every time I come into belvidere, I make sure to visit here. They have amazing, delicious selections, and the service is always super sweet and informative.

They have good hotdogs and other tasty food. The only (not really bad, but just a heads up if you really love nacho cheese.) Its not flavorful nacho cheese, its just plain chedder. So if you are expecting movie nacho cheese, it doesn't taste like that. However, of you hate movie nacho cheese and enjoy the plain cheese, thos would be perfect for you. I, myself, enjoy the movie nacho cheese flavor(which is just pretty much jalapeno flavoring added to it.) They have the option to add jalapenos, but I dont like the actual jalapeno bites. So it all depends on preference.
