So this is my experience. My father has a same name as me. It might have a different experience, but this is my experience here. Frontier town.. What can I say this place was really, really cool? I used to love this place along with castaways period that was way back when before Sun. Resorts took over once Sun took over, they did a few very little, and I mean, very little upgrades to the bathroom, like they changed the heads to the showers, and they I made it so that the shower would run without you having to push the button all the time to it's running all the time as long as you turn it on, that's it? And they thought that was worth tripling, the price adding fees up the Yin gang. And uh, putting staff who doesn't care in place of a staff that did care Before the Sun group took over. You were able to go from frontier town to pass away and be able to the swim in the castaway pool, you're able to swim on the beach at castaway, and participate in the events going on at castaway. If you stayed at castaway, you could also go to frontier town for a cheaper price and do the events there along with A cheaper price for the water park. They also had a bus that would take you 2 all 3 of the campgrounds plus ocean city for free. Now that Sun owns it, it's not like that. Anymore. Now that Sun owns it, there is no Connectivity, you cannot go to cast away. And swim in their pool, you cannot go to castaway. And swim in their beach. They will not take you there by bus, even though the bus is still sitting there. If you're a castaway person, we do not get a discount for the water park at frontier town. This saddens me because it used to be a family, friendly place and no longer like that. On our last trip here, august of 2025 on day one, we had a water leak in the camper, and we're going to we went and tried to call up front to see if maintenance would come down with a wet dry vacuum. I could not get ahold of them. So I drove up, I spoke to a lady who told me that she was gonna call maintenance. The lady told me that maintenance would i'd be at my campsite, momentarily. It's now been two weeks and we left, and we still yet to see maintenance, come to our camper.. this would have never happened before. Sun took over, I spoke with 2 other people who were camping there and said they had similar issues and that they will not be returning either because of the outrageous fees that they now added the doubling and tripling the prices, the no connectivity with the other 2 campgrounds and like the lack of service that they provided. Prior with the...

Hands down the WORST "camping" experience of my life. Ridiculously unsafe, I don't know how this place doesn't get shut down. 9 year olds flying down roads on golf carts 2 abreast, motorized scooters & bikes doing +20mph, passing cars, cutting off pedestrians & traffic, off-roading carts on the trails. No road rules or speed limits whatsoever. It's a wonder people haven't been killed here, maybe they have? I almost had multiple head-on collisions with golf carts in the wrong lane and even gangs of kids riding bikes around turns down the full width of the road. Total chaos, I can't even describe it properly.

"Safety Patrol" parked on golf carts doing absolutely NOTHING! No management staff seen all week.

Bath houses were TERRIBLE-- loose toilets leaking all over the floor, nasty dirty showers, only 2 out of 8 sinks worked.

Loud & inappropriate music throughout all hours of the night (my daughter learned some new words), flashing lights everywhere, music blaring from golf carts. Drunk people EVERYWHERE yelling, screaming & honking. I was honestly scared for my safety! They literally had a white trash parade of 50+ golf carts at 11pm at night, making laps all over the campground for at least an hour blaring music & yelling. Kids all over on bikes with no lights at night, weaving around in the "parade" and swerving around cars & pedestrians.

This is what happens when hillbillies have too much $$$.

As for the overpriced, ultra commercialized entertainment options, they were extremely corny & disappointing. The "restaurants" provided both microwaved & boxed food options, really just a vehicle to sell their myriad alcoholic beverage options. The "shows" were lame and underwhelming.

Water Park had 5 slides total, a lazy river, and play activities for little kids. It was actually the best part, but they do think a small fry is worth $6 & a simple hotdog $5. And forget modesty...thongs & cleavage everywhere.

If you want to vastly overpay for camping, surround yourself with overpriced entertainment options, and risk your family's safety, Sun Outdoors Frontier Town is the place for you!

I will be reporting this business to the Maryland health department, National Resource...

We were excited to stay here because of all the great things we heard, however, this was hands down the worst trip we’ve ever had. First, we called multiple times in the days prior asking about early check in. We were told that we could pay $30 to get into our site at 11. We woke up at 4 AM and drove our two kids (1 and 2) 6 hours to get there for them to tell us our site needed to be mowed and to check back in an hour. An hour later they again told us it still wasn’t ready. The grown lady behind the counter with space buns was extremely rude and clearly has very little customer service training because I wouldn’t even speak to a stranger the way she spoke to me, much less a customer. Finally around 1:30 they allowed us to “check in early” since check in is at 2. Our site still wasn’t mowed. We wouldn’t have cared except we just sat in the truck for 2.5 hours waiting for it to be mowed. So that was the first issue. Second issue was that the power was out for 2 of our 4 day trip. We brought BABIES to this campground and had no A/C and no way of warming up formula for the younger one. There was no communication stating what was going on or if/when it would be back on. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Next, we were here with a group and one of the families rented a golf cart. The cart would not charge so they asked to switch it out with another and they were told no. They asked what to do if it dies somewhere and they can’t get it back and they were told that they would have to pay a fee if it’s not properly returned. Next, IF you are able to use one of the 5 washer/dryers, the machines are operated by App, but there’s no service in there to allow it to connect and you can’t walk outside and connect it because it also operates on Bluetooth so you need to be next to the machine. The three times I went to the laundry room, there were people there angry and confused, every single time. It’s an all around horrible system. Lastly, the customer service here was just terrible and that alone will keep me from ever coming back. It’s cool that they had horses but I’ll trade that for being treated and respected like a...

If you want some fun times this is it. We rent a camp site every year and the kids load up and we stay the long weekends during the fall. It has so much to offer. Waterpark, arcades, theme park, haunted ghost trail in the fall, and other events through out the year. We choose to go during October with the the Halloween events. In the summer we take the kids to the waterpark just for the day. It's great cause they have updated everything. It's very clean and plenty of food vendors to grab some meals snacks etc for the kids. They do have beer thank goodness cause it makes for a relaxing time around that lazy river I always get stuck going around at least twice LOL. If you ever get a chance to rent the cabins they are very clean and very convienent with shower and bathroom, cable, kitchen etc. They have plenty of stuff for the kids through out the day along with a miniature golf course next to the Ice Cream Shop. I posted some photos of our annual trip to give you a good idea . Oh and they have Golf cart rentals as well which I would recommend in case you need to go to the little convenient store they have some grocery items ice wood etc. If you stay and want to explore its a 10 minute or so ride to Assateague Island and a 15 minute ride to Ocean City. It's the best of both worlds to experience. The staff is very nice as well and offer easy check in and check out. plenty of employees to always ask questions. Enjoy the vacation if you ever make it to Frontier Town.

Imaginative entertainment for all generations! Old Frontier Town laid back adventure. Our family has been visiting yearly for over 20 years. Actors are funny and friendly. Shops including an ice cream parlor, a saloon selling birch beer, hot dogs, chips and water, a old western general store selling caps guns, authentic Cherokee Indian goods, toys, gifts, handmade leather goods and more. The merchandise and food is reasonably priced for a theme park. Most of the entertainment is included in the price of admission. You could stay all day without spending a additional dime. There is an active old town with live interactive shows throughout the day. Train ride that gets "robbed" for gold, stage coach rides, poney rides, swing rides, pan for gold, an authentic Cherokee Indian educational show including dancing, drums and homemade jewelry. The story keeps going throughout the day. It is a must see for families. Bring your imagination, sense of adventure and you will not regret it. My boys love it and don't even complain about the absence of electronics. We don't stay at the campground, we visit for the day on vacations.

Great place to camp with kids, good shows that are going daily, and hourly from noon to 7pm, it can be hard to find the shows so I recommend asking, since each show is at a different location on the property. The water park was nice, had slides, lazy river, splash pad and small pool area for kids. The property was nice and clean, workers driving around continuously to keep an eye on things which was great. The bathrooms are not bad, in the main area they are a bit older, shower stalls with curtains. They seemed to be cleaned regularly. There's an outpost there which has food, snacks, ice, firewood, some camp.gear and adult drinks. I would highly recommend this place and plan on coming back. My only issue was the wifi barely if ever worked, which was frustrating, but in the end was...OK, as it did allow us to disconnect from electronics while here.
