Iâve never felt the urge to leave a negative Google review before, but here we are. I was excited to get my brows done here again, as I used to come as a teenager and always heard great things about Lucyâs work.
Before even walking in, the door was locked, which is normal. I looked for a doorbell and saw her sitting there, staring at me and shaking her head instead of buzzing me in. When she did, she teased me for not knowing there was no doorbell, but her tone came off more condescending than playful.
When it was my turn, she told me to remove my eyebrow piercing because she âhatesâ them and said theyâre bad for your brows. I was wondering why say that to a customer who literally has one? I told her I love having great brows and think the piercing suits me, didnât realize the two were mutually exclusive. Once I took it off, she said, âYou made me late for my next appointment.â I apologized and even offered to come back, but she still blamed me. She refused to help unscrew it because they âweird her out,â which I respected, but the comment wasnât necessary.
When I explained I wanted a sharper, more angular brow, she looked at me like I was speaking another language and asked what I meant by âangular.â I was caught off guard - thatâs a normal word, especially for someone who kept telling me how much of an expert they are while lecturing me about my brows, so I said, âu know, more snatched and sharp/defined.â She then said she doesnât âuse new age terms like thatâ and added Iâd have to thin my brows for that look, which she refuses to do, and that I should find someone else if thatâs what I wanted. I wasnât even specifically asking for thin brows, just trying to describe a shape, but the whole exchange came off really dismissive and patronizing.
She also told me not to talk because it moves my face, but kept lecturing me about how awful my piercing is. She said they ânever heal the way you guys think they will.â I was like, you guys? Whoâs you guys? I politely explained Iâve had piercings before and know irritation/scarring comes with the territory, and that doesnât mean people shouldnât ever get their brows done. I asked if sheâs worked with brow piercings before, and she said not really, âsince she worked at the mall,â #sonowyallknow again, so condescending
My brows looked fine, but I left annoyed and uncomfortable. Come to find out, my mom stopped going for the same reason - lack of professionalism. I'd get it if she were just trying to warn me about the piercing, but thereâs a kind way to do that. A little warmth and tact go a long way.
If you want decent brows, sure, go here. However, if you also want to be treated kindly, consider going somewhere else. From being stared at outside the door to being lectured the entire time, it just wasnât worth it.
p.s. For my baddies with eyebrow piercings, I recommend Unibrow Aesthetic. Theyâre kind, affordable, and Iâve never had issues
Read moreI HAD AN APPOINTMENT THIS PAST WEEKEND WITH LUCY. After months of being quarantined and letting ny eyebrows grow I trusted to go see Lucy and get them done. First observation there were no sanitation or disinfecting or even any tempature taken as she said she was doing so on her social media. Secondly, she goes straight into just threading before acknowledging the fact of what needs to get done. She absolutely ruined my eyebrows!!! Absolutely nooo shape was given or any form. She claims i have spars hairs but I've gotten my eyebrows shaped at other locations and this is definitely not her best. Honestly I really think Lucy pretends to be a different person than she really is.... Iâve known lucy since the days she was at the MALL IN RIVERSIDE. She is not humble, she is not personable and sheâs definitely careless.
The moment you walk into the salon the atmosphere there is just amongst the employees chatting between themselves absolutely no attention to the client. Prices are outrageous for eyebrows.
Im sorry but if your work spoke for itself i wouldn't mind one bit but it seems as though you only want to front what your not and with that lack of client attention, personable instinct you will not have my business.
I do not recommend this place at all! PLEASE LEARN TO STAY HUMBLE AND REAL WITH YOUR CLIENTS. Dont be fake. Very...
Read moreWow! We both know that is not what really happened. I would have not written the bad review in the first place. Word finally got out you are not good at what you do. Also, that you use inks that lack quality. I hope you never consider teaching microblading courses that would be a disgrace to society.
I normally do not post bad reviews at all but I was told to warn others. Lucy is very unprofessional. I had my eyebrows microbladed by her and I was botched. She started with a very light brown almost reddish color on my left brow. Then I told her it was too light obviously my brow hair is black then she used dark brown ink for my right brow. Also, my left brow was very arched and way too high and the right brow was too low and pointy. I haven't found someone to get them removed yet. Instead, I have been putting foundation and concealer on the botched areas something I never had to do. The whole purpose of getting them done was for me not to fill in my brows every morning that was the only makeup I used. Now I am stuck with having to take more time to get ready. I wish I would have read the TRUE reviews before getting them done. It was the WORST...
