The planet’s premiere produce demands respectful and conscientious stewardship; I have found no finer exemplar of such ethos than has Lotus Garden Botanicals proven themselves to be the case in the 7+ years I’ve enjoyed the privilege of gracing them with my patronage. In the world of natural products, quality is everything, and everything is quality: that is, no species can find its true expression absent the support of its proper conditions for its peculiar growth and developmental requirements, on the one hand; and on the other, no detail can be too small to potentially impact the final result’s quality, be that by its enhancement or to its detriment, from seed to serum. Whether by ignorance or contrivance, ruefully few appreciate how fine can become such subtleties: not only does Lotus Garden’s proprietor, they dedicate and apply, plenarily, all resources found to be involved in the rendering of an uncompromised result in the final product. This has best been exemplified for me in their focus on hexane-free absolutes my senses render utterly devoid of synthetic residues.
In conjunction with my 1st order I called their customer service and was surprised to be greeted by the proprietor personally. I enjoyed our extensive conversation in which they explained many facets of their handling practices, each of which exhibits the utmost respect for the materials: only warm—never boiling—water to gently render extractions mobile; hand-poured to-order with stock in cryogenic storage otherwise; dark amber bottles to protect photosensitive volatiles; 3rd-party lab testing for each and every batch stocked; important statistics listed openly and placed on every label (even samples) including distillation date that empowers customers to gauge purchase decisions on the basis of their own projected actual use of the products; exhaustive investigation to ascertain and verify ethical sourcing; exclusively direct relationship with distillers (no middle men); and those are just what I remember off the top of my head after all these years!
A further word on integrity as befits the planet’s finest: not only is Lotus Garden’s proprietor possessed of fully legitimate and impeccable bona fides as a graduate of world-class institutions in Grasse, France benefitted by centuries of expertise, but I have witnessed their yield of savvy deployed into decisive action on several occasions to procure extreme rarities to the highest of standards, e.g. genuine Indian Mysore sandalwood aged a minimum of 3 decades ethically sourced through the Indian government’s protected restoration groves—among many others for which Google Reviews’ word limit defies elaboration. Every item receives this caliber of care and vetting. Even energetics are considered. Lotus Garden lays claim, with credibility few can, to accurate, assiduous sussing-out of not merely any adulteration or counterfeiting, but most especially the discovery and celebration of unique specimens’ particularly desireable or interesting qualities, such as thyme chemotype thujanol I delighted in for how mild was its sweet freshness’ emphasis as compared to the more common sharpness of familiar culinary varieties (among many other examples…).
In my opinion, the individual consumer will do no better than to make of themselves a customer of Lotus Garden Botanicals. Uncompromising, their palette ranges into the highest echelons of elite botanical extracts to include the very finest in the world. That this is made available to the individual—not just to institutions and corporations—deserves our gratitude and commendation. I am humbly honored to be enthusiastic and loyal a customer of Lotus Garden Botanicals and encourage anyone for whom quality is paramount to support them in their indefatigable vindication of nature’s potential regardless of prevailing disincentives posed by corporatism, marketing, ignorance, indifference, and any supplier malfæsance incented thereby. Thank you, Lotus Garden, for keeping my lifeline to the vitality in...
Read moreLotus Garden Botanicals is one of my top trusted sources for Essential Oils, Absolutes, Extracts , hydrosols , carrier oils and other aromatherapy supplies. Getting true authentic pure essential oil that is not adulterated or has additives is important to me. The quality of their products is outstanding, the selection is also great. They have the standard Essential Oils one would expect, as well as harder to find oils and rare finds. I have discovered several rare and unusual oils through Lotus Garden which are now some of my favorites. I can tell that I am buying from a company that Loves essential oils as much as I do. I love their website – it is easy to use and informative. The information they provide is another reason I love shopping with them. They give a thorough description of the oils and products, along with extraction or distillation date and shelf life (I haven’t seen this available anywhere else), and you can request the reports on the testing done on the products. They also give information on safety, suggested use and other interesting information. I also really love the descriptions of the fragrance of the oil and I have found them to be accurate – I’ve ordered oils I have never seen available or tried before based on the descriptions they provide, and I have not been disappointed. They have fair prices for the quality of product they offer, as well as smaller sizes available for the pricy oils and absolutes – so I can try something I would not be able to afford usually. I really enjoy this, and I can experience the pricy oils by blending a few drops into more affordable oils in a blend (a few drops are all that is needed, the oils are pure and potent). They offer sample sizes all the way up to larger bottles of 4oz or more on essential oils – which I appreciate because there are some oils I use a lot of, and buying larger bottles is also more affordable than getting multiple smaller bottles of oil. They offer free samples of standard oils with orders – and I really like being able to sample an oil before I order a larger size. They run specials on oils occasionally – which is nice. They offer free shipping if you purchase at their set price point or higher. They ship quickly and the products are packaged well. My experience with their customer service has been great. Honestly there is not much need to reach out to them because they provide so much on the front end before you buy, and ship...
Read moreA while ago I was gifted a few oils from here from a friend of mine who is always gifting me ingredients she thinks I may like for my small business skincare line. The oils were great but I already had my go-to supplier. However, recently my regular supplier is currently out of stock of a few oils I needed so I remembered Lotus Garden and decided to look up the website, but HOLY PRICE GOUGE!! My regular supplier charges $49/lb for strawberry seed oil as opposed to Lotus's $84/lb. Also $33/lb for Daikon Seed Oil from regular supplier, but again $84/lb from lotus. That's almost TRIPLE for literally the exact same radish seed oil made right here in the northwestern states. And how is radish seed oil and strawberry seed oil the same price per pound? The pricing doesn't even make sense lol. I definitely don't expect them to change their prices, like, if people are buying it then more power to them for ripping people off but, for anyone that hasn't bought anything yet or just would like to find more reasonable prices, there's so many other reputable sites with the same ingredients for much less. (bulkapothecary, lotioncrafter, makingcosmetics, formulatorsampleshop, naturesgarden) I've never seen any CARRIER OIL priced at $84/lb. And like I said, no knock to the quality because they were great quality, but the same great quality is easily found elsewhere for quite literally a FRACTION of the price. Yikes.
EDIT TO RESPOND Please, I am a small business owner and I understand very well that "Free" does not in fact mean free. "Free" means the price of the product is so exorbitant that it pays for the samples and shipping and we can make you think you're getting "free" shipping and samples. I couldn't care less about GCMS analysis. That's just another tactic to inflate the price because "no one else does it." None of that makes the prices ok in my book. I still stand on the fact that your prices are a rip off blanketed with offers of "freebies." But it's clearly working for you all,...
