99 Restaurants — Restaurant in Biddeford

Let's say we were very hungry and it was 7 pm. My wife and I ordered Buffalo wings and potato skins. The wings were not even close to being any Buffalo sauce it was more like red dye for color "powder is not sauce." I would have asked for sauce but the waiter never came back until there was one left. Now for the meal. I tried ordering the country fried chicken but NO mashed red potatoes. It takes less than 5 minutes to cook red potatoes and mash. My wife and I could hear the waitress next to us giving a list of things that were out. Its 7:30 and total of 4 people in the restaurant and a slow day "MONDAY" and out of food. I ordered the seafood trio and 1 1/2 scallops is not an abundance of them. There was fishy smelling shrimp and maybe a half piece of tilapia filet. The grilled lemon was not there nor the butter. The waiter was kind but seemed to be pushy and brought the check. He then asked if we were going to want dessert. I'm guessing not much for dessert or he was looking to leave. So check it was, $58.00 for food that definitely wasn't worthy of sitting down for and a $15.00 tip for someone just looking to leave. If you dont want the table give it to another person working who wants it. The place had several people working at this time 7:30ish but everyone that walked by the filth on the floor made no attempt to even clean it up. But they did seat two people at the table. I have 25 years experience in the restaurant business started at the dishwasher and was running a restaurant by my 30's. I'm not exactly sure if this issue is employees, management or owners but it definitely needs to...

Come on now how can this place have this good of ratings!! We haven't been here in 3 years as we moved away. We were back visiting family and we went for dinner one night. It use to be one of mine and my husband's favorite places to go. We could not belive how much it changed. First of all we should have went with our first thoughts when we used the bathroom upon arriving. The womans was absolutely disgusting! Filthy! They say a restaurants kitchen is as clean as thier bathrooms. That is when we should have left. The table was sticky when we sat down,crumbs were all over the seat as well. My father in laws silverware went back because it still had food on the fork! I'm not going to go thru how terrible each dish was however each meal was bad. My fish tacos were all batter!! Barely anything else on them and the rice had hard pieces in it because it wasn't cooked all the way. Even the popcorn they serve you when you sit down was stale!! This place has gone way...

I have visited this 99 several times. It's always busy for good reason. I would like to especially like to commend the server D Money. If 99 were a chocolate factory and, my name was Charlie, then D$ would be Willy Wonka minus all the weird stuff that happened in that movie. I guess my only point is she makes dining there an experience (again ... minus all that mad crazy stuff that Willy Wonka put those kids through LOL) She listened, joked, told stories, gave us great suggestions, and fantastically made a simple night out spectacular. She made everyone at our table feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. This is what makes dining out Great! The food ? .. Service was so good I don't remember. ps. I would be referring to the original movie and the only thing that could have made this experience better would have been for the Oompa Loompas to jump out with some Cat in the Hat type song!...
