I have had two experiences now at self check out that were just blatantly poor customer service. I stopped in a few months ago to grab a snack before I left on a trip. My snack did not scan in, and I was met by a frustrated associate who said that the snacks should not even be out in the first place. He proceeded to take the snack from my hands and throw it at another associate, who he then told to put back in the right spot. No attempt was made to apologize, offer me a different snack, do a price match, anything. He just took it and threw it and that was the end of it. I was in again and had some mac and cheese boxes this time. Those would not scan in either. The associate this time came up and attempted to find a price, which is more than I can say for the last guy. However, after seemingly no luck, the same thing happened: taken from my hand, put away, no explanation. The best he could do was say he assumed that they were expired even though there were plenty others out and the expiration date was not close (he asked us about this and still, for some reason, made that assumption?). Read moreI want to start off with the overall target is amazing. The store is clean and everything is easy to find. The staff is always fantastic. Besides one particular employee. I never ever ever complain. I could ask for steak and get lamb and I wouldn’t complain, mostly because I understand. I’ve worked in customer service for 7 years. For the last 4 years I’ve been the person customers come to when they have complaints. This is now my second time reaching out to anyone for this target in hopes that something will be done about this gentleman because it is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I will turn around and walk out of the target if I see him. He always works self check out and I can’t put into words how rude he is. Read moreManager in over their head - at least that would be my guess for why this Target is such a disaster. Aisles are chaotic, disheveled, and very hard to shop in. If you do find what your are looking for it often times doesn’t have a price. Got to the checkout lines and was maybe the tenth person in line for the self checkout because they only had one traditional checkout line open. When I finally made it to my checkout area they didn’t have any bags. I guess they are lucky that they are the only real option besides Walmart unless you want to drive 30 minutes. Update 12/23- but at least they put their slowest person on the one check out that is open (two days before Christmas). Update 12/30 - got here when they opened and half the carts were in the aisles.
