My husband and I recently went here on Dec 31st 2017 to celebrate our upcoming 6th yr anniversary on Jan 1st. We had the best and moist curtious hospitality we have ever experienced at a restaurant. I ordered the steak tip dinner. When my plate arrived to our table it was the worst steak tips I've ever seen. I ordered them med rare. It was like the chef took a 1/2 inch steak, threw it on the grill, way over cooked it then chipped it up into tiny pieces. I brought it to the attention of our waitress Bonnie. She immediately could tell the tips were way overcooked and had no resemblance of steak tips. She asked me if I would like to replace it with something else off the menu. I said yes plz and ordered a rib eye steak. Well while waiting for my steak to arrive her boss Dallas personally came to our table to apologize for my prior order. Asked us if we wud like to order anything else off the menu or if there was anything else he could do for us while waiting for my rib eye. We declined and went back to eating. As my steak came off tree grill, Dallas personally brought my steak to our table and asked again if we needed anything. We said we were all set. Bonnie our waitress returned to our table to see how we were doing. We were full and ready to pack up our leftovers to take home. We had amongst our conversation told her we were here to celebrate our anniversary. She asked if we had room for dessert. We said no thank u. We are very full but if I had room I'd go for the red, white and blue cheesecake. She giggled. Well apon her return with our to go containers she had a container with a slice of cheesecake and said it was for our anniversary on her. As she brought us our bill she proceeded to apologize again for my meal being messed up. Bonnie and her boss Dallas had done something so generous. They took my meal completely off the check. With the remaining balance they have us 25% discount. The hospitality at longhorns in biddeford Maine will 100% always stay in my mind and heart. Not only for the amazing food but for the most gracious staff I have ever encountered in my life. Thank u Bonnie and Dallas. ...

I reached out through their website to Longhorn and let them know what had gone wrong. The rice was bad the steaks weren’t right, The waitress was nice but she never came back to see if we wanted refills on our drinks. She didn’t bring my husband a spoon for his coffee so he could stir the cream in the sugar. It took a long time for her to bring us the bill and for us to get the check back after we paid the bills so we could leave. It was just a frustrating and bad experience. it was just a bad experience , and it was the first one we really had.
They sent me a gift card, asking me to come back and telling me that if I had a problem in the future, please ask for a manager. Part of the problem with the first one also was sadly the waitress was not good. She didn’t pay attention to us. It took a long time to get things done.
Our second trip was a couple of weeks ago. The waitress was very good. The food was good. I ordered the baked potato without any onion as I’m allergic to. The food came out in a timely fashion the waitress refreshed our drinks as we asked it was a much better experience. I will say the sides when they came out my potato, especially it was good, but it really wasn’t hot and that was pretty much the big thing that missed the mark can’t give you five stars because of the first experience but I will say after them trying to correct the issue we will probably go back again. I didn’t ask for a manager this time Because I just wanted to have the deal done and we were on a time crunch, so yeah, they kind of redeem themselves on the second trip. If we go again in the near future will read again and see if it’s better.
I do appreciate the fact that they tried to take care of the situation as best as they could from the first experience so we will probably go again, but as a few people have previously noted in their reviews for the amount of money that the food costs, I expect it to be a good experience so we’ll see what the next one is, but they did redeem themselves after...
Read moreA review from my 10 year old daughter's experience at the Biddeford Longhorn (who has never written a review before). Just imagine how bad an experience it is when a 10 year old to wants to write a review:
"First off they said that we would have to wait for about 5-10 minutes while we were waiting We saw about 2 whole family’s that had 4 people in both groups get seated. We only had 5 people in our party and not all adults.
They then reassured us that it would only be about 5-10 more minutes we also asked why we could not get seated but those two family’s could they then replied “there were only 4 people in those groups and the kitchen is backed up and we only have 2 chefs and it takes more to prepare”. I asked my dad how is there a difference between 5 and 4 people having to be prepared. My dad responds in there is no difference.
And after a bit more waiting my dad finally asked them how much longer we would have to wait the person finally said she will go and ask in the back she comes back out and says “ I have to go and clean a table but I have another employee that will explain everything to you guys the other person starts to explain “I’m a trainer and I have been in the kitchen before and I can help you guys understand how the kitchen works. If you guys really want to get seated we can, but you might not be able to get your orders right away."
My dad then asks while we appreciated your explanation of how the kitchen works but will we be seated any time soon. She responds in “but if you want your food anytime soon I would suggest you go and eat somewhere else”. Instead of apologizing she proceeded to have a argument with my nana. 1 star"
So in the end, no food, waiting for 1/2 hour with 2 kids and their grandmother - only to be told we best go somewhere else if we want food anytime soon. No offers to seat us with bread, accommodations or apologies.
If when we showed up they said they couldn't seat us because the kitchen was backed up - no problem. Keep in mind no other parties or people were waiting with us. But don't seat 8 other people who came in after us and then tell us you are too busy a...
