One of my favorite parks to go to in Billings Montana. it is very open in some areas as well as has trails and a little pond that cuts through in the Playland for the children is awesome for all ages of kids even including myself LOL. My 1-year-old and three year old had an amazing time playing in the sandbox as well as the multiple different swings they have one section of the park is for smaller kids ages 1 2 3 while the other section of the park is for older kids. My 1-year-old was having a blast while the 3-year-old was having an even better time. Pioneer Park really is a great Park if you have a larger group or a diverse family that likes to do different things as there is so many different things you can do there. It was fairly clean as well as some parks are not very clean which being a father to a younger children I am always leery and pay close attention to the cleanliness of parks and places I take my children to play but I was very impressed of how clean this park really is.it seemed like there was a good group of parents and children as well as I know some parks there maybe isn't the best of parents or children or lack of parenting while the children play but here seem to be a good mix and variety of all different parents and children which is always good in my book.the pool wasn't open when I went earlier today but soon the pool will be open for the little kiddos it's mainly a kiddie pool and fairly simple but the kids seem to have fun from the last time I was there.I was really happy that they had updated all the toys on the Playland as well from the last time I was there there was some really cool toys that were simple for the kids to use but really fun as well I didn't see a bunch of graffiti or profanity written all over him either you can tell this park as well maintained through public parks and recreation. If I were to rate this park and given a 1 through 5 star rating five being the best one being the worst I would say this is a solid four almost a five.it's also a really nice park if you want to go on a walk with your family as there is so much area and different spots to walk through and you won't feel crowded or overwhelmed by other people either it's also a good place to maybe have a barbecue or picnic or any type of get together as such.I usually don't leave many reviews nowadays as this time does not permit in my busy life but Google suggestions popped up asking about a review and I just couldn't pass the opportunity up as my kiddos significant other and I had such an amazing day at pioneer Park and it deserves the quality rating that I'm giving.and from what I remember this is a really good place to go sledding for the kids as well in the winter and they do have a false course or they used to I should say but I'm assuming it's only gotten better over the years they also have tennis courts and public bathrooms even though they weren't open today that would be why I'm not giving it the five star rating. If any parks and recreation people are reading this open your...
Read moreThis is a beautiful park with a children's really nice swimming pool area. It is large enough for kids to have a little space to play with a dividing walk way and railing in the center. This day all the littles shared toys and played really well. Felt like a great family place I. Our community. When we arrived, the pool was flooding out the pool area and water was draining into the outer are of the park and all the way down the street. The two Male lifeguards were seated most of the two hour time I was there and seemed to be aware of the water overflowing.... and it was 100degrees, so, not a big deal at a pool. They were on their phones almost the entire time. Most children had adult supervision anyways, so, I guess that wasn't so bad. That they weren't really monitoring children or the water...a large group of fully dressed teenagers came and got into the pool from the nearby concert setting up. They were teenagers and pretty well mannered. It was a very hot day so I don't blame them. There was no posted signs on age or clothing requirements, so, again, it wasn't a huge issue. I know at other wading pools, the lifeguards have actually monitored that and disallowed it sharing age or size limits. It was a fun day...
Read moreWe visited this park (1st time ever)on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Very nice, quiet, peaceful and well maintained. The playground is filled with lots of different obstacles for kids of each age group to climb. There is a kiddie pool (free with lifeguards on duty while I was there) and a changing room so remember your swim trunks. Tennis courts, mini baseball field, wall ball area and nice walking paths around and through the park with a nice stream going through the center. Will definitely visit again Lessons learned: The playground gets very hot being that there isn't any coverings. Maybe something they can add in the future... If you are going to visit the playground area don't wear flip flops or sandals the wood chips will get in them and hurt. Even if you're just...
