If you like to travel to explore, make it a point to visit the Visitor Center of every town you visit.
While on I10, I'd suggest take a detour for a couple of hours and follow the parallel Oceanic Route of Highway 90. This beautiful highway runs parallel to gulf of Mexico and id dotted with small towns like Biloxi & Gulf Port with beautiful & quite beaches. We visited the visitor center during Christmas Holidays and were fortunate to witness weekend Bazaar there. Locals had setup shops to sell local crafts/ handmade items and each of them were simply amazing. The price was unbelievably less. My wife ended up buying loadsa jewelry at 1/3rd the cost of what we would find in our city.
Inside the visitor center, we were quite impressed by how the little town celebrates its diversity. Specially in these times of division which is propping up. The gift shop has a lot of beautiful items to sell too..

Then walked around for different views. We didn't cross the road for other views because traffic was getting heavy, and there were multiple lanes. There is also am monument to NASA Astronaut Fred Haise from Apollo 13 fame, among other credits. Just a nice place to visit. Turn around and Fred's monument and the ocean is right behind you. And unless you take a tour, it costs you nothing to enjoy. How can...
Read moreThe Lighthouse was pretty. We took some photos of it but we didnt enter the Lighthouse. Im not sure if you can go into it or not. Across the parking lot is a statute of Astronaut Fred, 2 or 3 infomation boards about Fred that are next to the Biloxi Moonwalk. The Biloxi Moonwalk is on the sidewalk so you can see what the Moon looked like with the craters and that was super cool too. The beach was pretty with white sand but the water looks brown. There were a lot of sea gulls that you would want to watch out for if you plan on snacking. There are some baby type pavillions scattered around that provide some shade if you find one unoccupied. We also saw where some areas of the beach have tables...
