The coffee is good but a bit overpriced. It was over $17 for 2 "lg" iced coffees. I can't eat sugar and there are some sweeteners I can't have, either, so I had questions. The server sitting was helpful and smiling. The one standing got exasperated with my questions, etc.... at least that's the way it seemed to me.
It left such a sour impression that I immediately went down the street to another shop and ordered another- identical- coffee (I reviewed that shop, too). That coffee was $6.
The coffee here was delicious. Don't get me wrong. But, I like people serving me to be pleasant and exude a welcoming charm, not make me feel like I'm a bother. Patience, understanding and empathy are key attributes in good servers!
What a customer buys directly pays for their wages. A lack of customers returning because of the wait staff not being as pleasant as the shop - quite literally - down the street, can and does cause shops to close which will directly affect the server's income and ability to pay their own bills. This truth should be reflected in an attitude of thankfulness every time another customer walks thru the door with patience, understanding, and hospitable charm as if welcoming someone they appreciate.
What I experienced wasn't an 'overt' hatefulness. It was a feeling of 'let's get this over with, already.' That is the only reason I took off a star, but it was enough to make me go down the road, immediately, and buy a coffee from another shop to see if the experience was similar.
BUT maybe I caught her at a bad moment. Everyone has off days. One customer's experience does not mean it's their 'habit'. Judging by the other reviews, there's a really good chance you'll love this shop, so try this place out, too.
(&, yes, I did tip them my customary tip of $1 per drink though I felt it was overpriced because I don't live here and I don't know the...

The quirky decor catches your eye as you drive by. The "Jacked up" monkey decorates the window of this snug coffee spot tuck in amongst Beacon insurance, a florist and a fashion boutique.
I took the barristas recommendation in drips and tried the light roast with cream. Beans and ground to order resulting in a smooth cupful of caffeinated goodness. Good coffee deserves a proper mug and mine was served up in a sturdy mug capable of delivering a concussion when used in self defense. I snuggled the heavy bottomed, large handled, tall, creamy porcelain mug while sipping the buzzy beverage.
Munchy selection is currently limited to varied trendy renditions of monkey bread and loaded hummus with pita bread. I sampled the Parmesan Garlic Herb with sausage and gravy on top. While definitely tasty, the gravy had the usual heavier saltiness of pub grub. Kudos for the amount of sausage in the gravy.
The 'monkey bread' was yummy, but I didn't expect the toasty crunch of the bread exterior. I guess I'm far too used to the predictable gooey party version of sweet monkey bread.
Happy news - the menu is being updated and expanded to include a lunch menu in January 2019. I look forward to bringing a friend or two to try the new offerings. :)
Seating options are comfy, stylish and varied. As a tall patroness, I appreciated the footrest under the natural wood tables and stools. Together they created the perfect "cradling the coffee and reading" position. Just the spot to watch the Howard avenue traffic pass by.
Stop in and try a cup of Jacked Up goodness. You'll leave with a pep...
Read moreI’ve been to Jacked Up Coffee in Biloxi more times than I can count, and every visit has been nothing short of amazing. What I absolutely love about this place is how customizable their drinks are. Whether you’re looking for something sweet, strong, or anything in between, the staff is always friendly and accommodating to your specific preferences. They really make sure that every drink is exactly how you want it.
The ambience here is perfect—it’s the kind of place where you want to spend hours sipping your coffee. From the cozy lighting to the beautiful scenery, the entire vibe is inviting and relaxing. It’s a great spot to unwind or get some work done.
If you’re trying their drinks for the first time, I highly recommend the New Orleans cold brew. They are incredibly generous with their espresso shots, and the flavors they offer are out of this world. Honestly, every drink I’ve tried has been top-notch, and they make sure every cup is brewed with care and precision.
This place isn’t just a one-time stop; it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to add to your daily routine. It’s definitely worth every penny, and the time you spend here is always well-spent. I’ve even had their grits for brunch before, and they were just as fantastic—everything is made in-house with love and attention to detail.
I truly love everything about Jacked Up Coffee, and I wish I could take it back home with me to Virginia and have it just a few blocks down the road. If it were there, I’d definitely be a regular, coming in every single day!...
