Biloxi Shrimp Co. — Attraction in Biloxi

I’ve ordered from Biloxi Shrimp Co. several times. Usually good. Expensive, but good. Twice it was bad. My most recent purchase was a bad one. Spent $192 on 10 lbs. of shrimp (and that’s with a $25 discount). All of the shrimp, 5 two pound bags with 3 different sized shrimps, taste like they were soaked in bleach. I suppose it’s a chemical preservative, but the taste was overwhelming. Per a Google suggestion, I tried soaking some in milk before cooking it. That helped a little, but not much. I was left trying to come up with recipes where shrimp was a small part of the ingredients just so it wouldn’t all go to waste. The chemical taste even permeated throughout shrimp pasta dishes. Made the pasta taste like bleach. I emailed the company to explain why I won’t be ordering from them ever again, but got no reply. Received order today. Packaged, shipped to NY and in my tummy within 7 days. We thought the trawler docked in the driveway! We eat alot of seafood especially shrimp as we live in FL 6 months each year. This is probably the best shrimp I have ever eaten, anywhere including Mediterranean where Italy is big on seafood. I love the Biloxi area and while doing a search I accidentally found this company and decided to try. OUTSTANDING in all aspects. Customer Service was supberb. What a pleasure to speak with a true southern well mannered lady, vs....well New Yorkers (of which I am one). This was my first order 10 lbs of extra jumbo shrimp. So succulent and plump. Will not be my last order and look forward to a long standing customer...

This is our 2nd time using Biloxi Shrimp Co. and they are amazing. We live in the Midwest and finding true gulf shrimp that taste great is challenging. What I find in the store taste soapy or freezer burnt. Our 1st box from Biloxi Shrimp Co. was amazing. We tried some from restaurant deli and another Midwest grocery store but had the same problems as before. Finding the size we like to cook with is also problem. But not with Biloxi Shrimp Co. This box we got a recipe and a postcard it truly just made me smile. Within 3 days we had our shrimp. We are pretty close to last on UPS route and our shrimp was still frozen.
