As an out of towner, I decided to visit this restaurant based off of the good reviews. However, I am highly disappointed in the food and customer service. I ordered 2 things, the pho combination and beef laarb. The pho was not authentic in any shape or form. I asked the lady for my eye-round steak on the side because I liked it medium rare and to cook in the broth. It was put inside the bowl and she told me they forgot, okk. They were also "out" of other meat that is suppose to come in the pho combination. So I literally paid extra for just a beef eye round steak pho. Thanks for the warning. I checked for the side ingredients such as the herbs, lime, etc.. to add in the pho, so I asked the lady again, and she proceeds to tell me they're all out.. wait... what?? OK but the table in front me had their herbs for their pho... im already irritated at this point, so what really threw me off was the taste of the pho. As if a bunch of MSG was poured into the broth... not worth it all!! Because they were "lacking" of herbs, the laarb didn't come out any better or pictured as others reviews. Sorry Biloxi but hard pass for me on this one when it comes to "authentic...

My all time favorite restaurant in the coastal region, not gonna lie. The pho is AMAZING and unbelievably cheap for the large amount of quality food you get (you will likely need a to-go bowl/cup, they have a LARGE serving for their namesake item). I particularly enjoy the Brisket pho which I believe the brisket is cooked within the broth giving it sooo much juice and flavor. Just incredible food with good mannered, efficient and friendly staff/service. They play Vietnamese Karaoke/idol singing shows on their TV in the interior while you eat and the whole place has a wonderfully authentic charm to it. If you like Vietnamese food at all or are just curious to try something new out, I can't recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant enough! It was so good that I even came to write this review. I NEVER do that, even for like 5 star restaurants in cities like New Orleans! I just feel like this business does not get the proper recognition and business that it deserves. Everyone should be checking it out and it should be the #1 spot for anyone on the coast to get Pho or any other legit Vietnamese cuisine. 5/5 stars - absolute excellence and...

My parents and I came here yesterday to try something different than BBQ, steak, potatoes, and other stereotypical American cuisine. We originally planned to go to one of two local Korean restaurants, but- due to both having pretty lackluster reviews and me being extremely discerning when it comes to authentic Korean cuisine after half a decade in the ROK- we settled on Vietnamese here so that we could all make an objective assessment about the food.

Everything we got was amazing. It was delicious, the portions were huge, the herbs (basil, cilantro, etc.) and the bean sprouts for my broth were all fresh, and the lady who waited on us deserves an award for how patient and understanding she was while we asked a million questions about the menu.

The coffee with condensed milk was possibly the most delicious non-black coffee drink I've ever had. Think the sweet goodness of a sugary specialty coffee with the roast of an actually fresh cup of coffee, unlike one you'd get at Starbucks with burnt beans.

I'm beyond amazed at the food, service, and cleanliness of the place (rated A). Will definitely make the hour drive back for food...

This had to have been the worst food and service I have ever encountered at a Vietnamese restaurant. Both my shrimp fried rice and pineapple fried rice was made with burned rice. My pad thai was made with sriracha sauce and was too spicy to even eat. I informed the server of this and I was told that pad thai is made with sriracha sauce and is spicy, I advised her the cook needs to review his or her recipes. They made no attempt to rectify my whole experience there. I was visiting from GA. I would not recommend this place to anyone. When I told them their food was not authentic Vietnamese or Thai, she said I know, we make it for Americans. I'm only giving 1 star because it will not let me post without one. DO NOT EAT HERE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!

My family and I were visiting from out of town when we were feeling a bit homesick for Vietnamese cuisine. If you're the same way, this is the place to go. The broth of my pho was incredibly rich in depth and flavor. Just one sip and you can tell that the staff at Vung Tau make their food with love. My grandmother, who is incredibly picky when it comes to eating at restaurants, even gave her stamp of approval. On top of that, it was such a generous portion of food for your buck. If we lived nearby, there would be no doubt that we would come to enjoy a bowl nearly every week. Also... don't judge a book by its cover.
