The Arts Creative — Attraction in Bloomington

I had a major fear/phobia about broken glass. I wanted to make stained glass, but was too scared. When the Arts Creative opened nearby, a local small business, I double-dared myself. I walked in the door shaking, but Katie instantly put me at ease. I had the BEST experience and had FUN! ME, breaking glass into fun shapes that make up a mountain! No more fear!

P.S. Katie is a REAL fine artist, not just "someone who makes stuff and DIYs 'art'". She downplays her training and skills, but don't mistake her for just a crafter or maker. She's the real thing, a true fine artist, with a big heart and sunny personality to share her talents and skills...

Just had the absolute best time at the arts creatives throwback Thursday. I got a small refresher on some of the greats and made a little project that realted to the small art history refresher, the fun art history stuff, the stuff u dont really talk about in art class.. the lets say "art tea" and just straight up do somthing I haven't done in a while. Fun art! Thanks for the experience 😁will totally be doing this again. My almost 6 year old had an absolute blast at Arts creative for two drop in days last week. First, having the ability to schedule a drop in during a sometimes unpredictable period was a blessing. Second, Katie made her immediately feel welcome and my daughter keeps asking to go back. She now wants to have her birthday party there in August! I am so excited that we have this resource in Bloomington. The care Katie obviously puts into her teaching craft is evident the moment you walk in.
