Bloomsburg Children's Museum — Attraction in Bloomsburg

My friend and I came here with our kids and felt very unsafe. There were some people taking pictures of our children with their phones. They did not speak to us to ask permission. They were dressed oddly in matching shirts with odd designs of black and white swirls, and black baseball caps and black pants. The had foreign accents, possibly German. They seemed to understand well enough that they had no business taking photos of our kids as they acted sneakily about it, trying to look like they weren't taking these pictures.

I brought up the matter with the front desk and they were not alarmed at all. They did not question the people or ask them to leave. I have not felt safe to visit again... I will remember this horrible visit forever.

Please be careful, parents, as child trafficking is a very real thing. Don't ever let anyone make you feel small or stupid for being concerned about the welfare of your children in a circumstance like this.

EDITED TO UPDATE: To the owner of the museum, I do not remember exactly the date as it was over two years ago. I hope whomever was there that day has either improved their responsiveness to concerns like these, or does not work...

So disappointed in this museum. We are visiting from out of town for fair week and were excited to see in the newspaper that the museum was open and under 12 was free. Took my sons to the museum and here it was a newspaper misprint. If it is advertised in the paper, I feel like they should have honored it. They said they wouldn’t honor it so we did not stay because I wasn’t paying triple the price of what was advertised. Will not be coming back here or supporting a business with false advertising. Looking forward to checking out the Lewisburg Children’s museum instead when we are...
