I made a 2 hour trek to experience this location. I had heard numerous good things, and had to see it for myself. We had booked the Tornado room, with the Submarine immediately following. At the last minute, we decided to add in the Mineshaft room since we were already there, and there was room availability. Tornado: WOW! I absolutely loved this room. The decor was on point, the puzzles were totally unique, some I've never seen before. There were plenty of "ah-ha" moments, and even ones where I jumped and screamed (out of pure joy!). Our game master told us she had never seen anyone move as fast as us, as we were running back and forth grabbing things left and right. We're a chaotic group, but we somehow succeed! This was probably my favorite room over all. And we were pumped to hear we had beat the record by almost 2 minutes. (that's what happens when you literally run through the whole game) Submarine: HOLY IMMERSION! No skimping on the details in this room! Again, very unique puzzles, a mixture of tech and old school design. A few head-scratching moments where we didn't think outside the box enough, but with a little help from our friendly game master, we escaped! The story kept expanding and drawing us in with each step. Highly recommend. Mindshaft: So, this was my favorite design concept. I absolutely felt like a little kid running around playing with everything. I loved the beginning concept, the way the puzzles progressed, and the unexpected moments. Even the cussing under our breath when we were stumped, but as always, the game master was there to help us when we needed it! We had one mishap in the room, but it was quickly corrected, and we were on our way to escaping our third and final room of the day. The only thing I regret is that I didn't get to experience each puzzle, because there was so much to do, and our group divides and conquers. I wish I had more time to just absorb the effort, and design that went into these rooms. It's very obvious these people know and love escape rooms. It is worth every penny, and if you love being puzzled, you'll love every...
Read moreWent for my very first escape room experience, and had such a great time, had to go back again the next day! The staff were amazing! Friendly, fun, and very in-tune with knowing just when to give a little nudge, and when to let us work through the puzzles without assistance.
I also really appreciate that there's (at the time i write this at least) options for smaller groups. Many others I've looked at since, require a minimum of 3 - 4 tickets purchased even if it's just two people going. So being able to just go in as a two-person team without spending twice as much, was great.
We intended to do the Dinner Guest room on Friday but had mistakenly booked for Saturday. The staff were completely understanding and being that, accommodating! Even though it was our mistake, and they had someone doing the Dinner Guest experience, they allowed us to do the Hotel Room (still relatively new at the time of our visit) instead at the time we were there. We made it with 4 minutes to spare!
Couldn't resist but to come back the following day for the Dinner Guest room. The puzzles in each were quite fun, unique, and appropriately difficult in just the right way to keep you engaged the entire time. I can't wait to be able to come back again and tackle more challenges!
Also, parking was really easy. Metered parking on the street or front or there's additional parking on Jefferson right around the corner.
Thanks again for such an amazing adventure, and unforgettable experience!
2024 UPDATE!
We came back for the Airbnb rental this year, complete with the interactive escape room experience within. The Airbnb itself was already way worth it, beautiful inside with the exposed brick, tall ceilings, and more thoughtfulness into every detail someone might ever need. Add to that a perfect interactive experience, and it's worth 6 stars in my opinion. A perfect blend of challenge and reward, and every little detail coming into focus that was hiding in plain sight were such a treat! Cannot recommend this place enough, for any experience. Wonderful and thoughtful hosts from...
Read moreWhen my fiancĂ© and I went to Tennessee two years ago, we did our first escape room and have been in love with them ever since. Anytime we hear about one in the area, we have to check it out. His coworker told him about âCan U Xcapeâ in Bloomsburg. 10/10! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun experience/challenge. As you walk through the door, youâre greeted by the owner, who matches your level of excitement. You start with a short video on what your room is about. It gave me chills and made it even more exciting. We did âThe Dinner Guest,â and it was amazing. The intricate details and the thought that went into designing/building this room is mind-blowing. We escaped with a few minutes to spare. You genuinely feel like you are part of the plot of the story. Another big bonus for us is we like to do the rooms together as it is our us time, and Can U Xcape allows you to do it with just two people or larger parties. There arenât many places weâve found where it can be just the two of us. We cannot wait for their other rooms to be completed so we can return and try to Xcape again. Thank you so much for an amazing time and sharing your love of the craft...
