Elmdale Inn — Hotel in Bloomsburg

I was on a motorcycle trip across the country and ended up in Bloomsburg, PA - and at the Elmdale Inn - by sheer happenstance. I pulled into town after outrunning a storm, just to take a break. After having a meal in a restaurant in the quaint Main Street area, I decided to stay in town and began looking for a hotel or B&B. I found the Elmdale Inn, and what a wonderful pick it turned out to be.

The building is a short walk to the downtown/main street area. It is historic and beautiful from the outside, clean and stunning on the inside. The owners did an excellent job of restoring the place, while leaving so much of the 19th century charm.

Which brings me to the best part...the owners/proprietors, Deb and Jack. They could not have been more welcoming, kind and considerate. After checking in to my awesome room, they invited me to join them on their cozy deck overlooking their beautiful back yard. They were so easy to talk to, and we discussed several topics, including my need to find a gift for my wife, who was waiting at home for my return. They not only helped me come up with an idea for a great gift, they even made it for me!! (My wife loved the gift, by the way.)

Finally, Deb prepared a delicious and picture perfect breakfast the next morning.

I can't recommend the Elmdale Inn any higher. You simply can't go wrong if you stay here, and frankly, if you're in Bloomsburg, PA, why would you stay...

If ever there was an Historic Home and two Quality people meant to come together and create a 5star B&B in Beautiful Bloomsburg Here is the Home of Deb and Jack proudly perched on the corner of 5th & Market, the epicenter of Bloomsburgs Historic District. Arrive to a very nice and convenient parking area nestled under the trees, come thru the welcoming gate onto the property and look around. The fire pit anchoring the lovely patio custom made for evening wine and returns from a walk around town, maybe a nice dinner at one of the fantastic convenient eateries. Enjoy because after a restful night nestled in one of the cozy rooms there is a sumptuous breakfast possibly of Deb's special French Toast waiting for you downstairs. What a fantastic addition Deb and Jack have painstakingly made possible for those living or visiting Bloomsburg to enjoy. This is what being part of a Community is all about. We stayed 2 days in early November. Only 1month after the Inn opened. I have traveled to many hotels, resorts, and bed and breakfast Inns, however, i will never forget my stay at this one! One day before arrival, Deb called me and said that we would be the "only visitors in the entire house this weekend", so she offered to move us to a larger room with a dressing room and private bathroom for no extra charge!(omg i get to roam a mansion!) When we pulled up they were waiting for us, and helped us park. We were greeted like family. Told us about places to go nearby, we chatted quite a bit. The most accommodating hosts i have ever met. Breakfast was amazing and homemade. The home itself is a dream. Newly renovated victorian style but still keeping the vintage charm. The MOST comfortable bed and linens. Very cozy feeling throughout the house. You can actually read the library books too! I cant wait to come back and see this place when its fully renovated. Oh and their dog Checkers is...
