Went to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for the first time on Wednesday 7/27/22. We honestly watched the movie the week before to make sure we remembered the details and they definitely delivered every aspect of the movie perfectly. Ordered tickets online the same day. Arrived 20 mins before show time but spent 15 mins in parking lot trying to figure out PANGO. It's not the best website and easier if you download the app. 5 mins before show start walk in, stood in line, received tickets within a minute and went to seats. They have a very efficient process. Show didn't start on time but it did end on time and included intermission. The concession stand and tickets are priced very fairly. Excellent performance, clean restroom, great customer service and easy to see seating. This is a must go to theater. My family thoroughly enjoyed the theater and performers. If we are in the area again we plan to return. It is very family oriented and we felt extremely comfortable. Definitely gets chilly so bring a blanket or jacket. Also, the name on the theater says Alvin Krause and it is the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble. Keep up the great work and thanks for a fabulous show...
Read moreI've attended some brilliantly done pieces of theatre here, mostly in my student days, when I could get in for "a fiver," as the British would say. The resident troupe of local actors really are top notch, and put on a captivating show every time. The auditorium itself is also done in a cool style and well-maintained, so it is a pleasure to visit and feels hospitable to the audience. Having had several opportunities to speak with the actors out of character, they are charming people, very kind and welcoming. As others have noted, the theatre is within walking distance of many of Bloomsburg's finest restaurants sans Turkey Hill, so a 'dinner and a show' type arrangement is not difficult to arrange, especially since parking in Bloom is mercifully free after 5pm.
It is another small beacon of culture and artistic merit in Bloomsburg, an authentic local treasure. Their Shakespeare adaptations are always fun, most notably 'Hamlet,' 'Caesar,' and 'As You Like It.' Another astoundingly good performance was 'The Ghost-Writer,' the author of which we were privileged to meet following the show we attended. This was and remains one of the best live theatre shows I...
