Don’t bother or waste your time with this place. Poor service and zero lack of communication or forethought. Was underquoted a hour wait when the wait was apparently 2.5 hours which would mean it would be closed by the time we got in cause of covid restrictions unless they are breaking the rules didn’t stick around to find out. Zero communication of other large parties that were coming in that would take any spot that would open up as we waited there in person. Lastly was asked multiple times what we were even doing, like we were forgotten about entirely waiting patiently. I would have been more then glad to get an apology saying I don’t think you guys are getting in tonight with the wait we have please come again another day earlier to ensure a spot. Worst experience ever being my first time going just cause it’s a college town doesn’t mean you get to give poor service. I have begun to enjoy Capitol a lot. Great destination for low-key food and drinks on weekdays - the extremely crispy wings and the cheesesteak are standout hits - and then on weekends and during certain special college celebrations, it transforms into a literal dance club, complete with an entire extra bar on the dance floor and rocking music from the DJs. The place gets absolutely packed, loud, and wild. It's exactly what a dance club-style bar should be, and a modest cover charge for DJ night is well worth it. Weekend happy hour specials are awesome, half price well liquor drinks is a major hit. They also stock my favorite New Trail beer, Crisp Lager. Even though I'm no spring chicken and it's been a long time since college, I am always down to party, or just to grab some food and beers, at Capitol. Special shout out to Jason, really nice dude. I have never had a problem here at chumleys... Friendly staff, excellent ales and very good food! The ale selection is wonderful for the area & they always have new things on tap. The prices are good, high to some but it keeps the college trash out... they have wings specials that bring in marco lager drinkers at times, but for a craft beer lover it is great. The noise level is very low so you can actually talk to people without shouting, and the bartenders are veyr educated about what they sever. Mike & Andy are exceptional at the job and the make sure people are taken care of. The Head Cheif has changed but the food remains excellent, The only think I'd change is to get the damn sports of the TV and play the sound of the films they show in the theatre section. If you want the gameon, cheap wings and crappy lager go to good old days...
