Was looking forward to checking out thie Bear Ears center for a while. Ive been working in the public lands for 15 years and on behalf of bears ears public information for 4 years. Unfortunately, the impression was shattered by the display of a photo of a petroglyph panel along the San Juan River with false interpretation. Read moreThe lady working on November 11th was a total liar. We asked about trails in the area and she said they were impassable. We asked about restaurants in the area. She told us they are all closed for the season. Fortunately we didn’t listen to her and found a great trail to Big Kachina panel petroglyphs, had a great lunch at the twin rocks trading post, and some great bbq at Canyon smokehouse.
