This is a small, owner-operated, and clean motel that's perfect for a quiet place to sleep. We made a reservation directly but also called the owner to make sure it went through; she called us back within an hour to confirm. The room is small, but it's clean and well-appointed, and has a number of for-sale decorations hanging about. The bathroom is small but very functional and the shower felt and looked fairly new. We were within very easy walking distance of a couple of restaurants (reviewed separately) and were pretty happy with our stay. The only downsides were the price of the room (fairly high at $95), lack of any real amenities aside from the room itself, and having to check out by phone the next morning because the owner wasn't awake. But this was still a better experience than the HoJo we recently visited in Flagstaff.

The Mokee Motel was a welcome refuge when I pulled in to Bluff UT in early May 2025 on a rainy evening without a tent. Everything was clean and well maintained except the wifi was weak and spontaneously disconnected. Out in front of the rooms are picnic tables which are great to sit on with a morning coffee or to prepare your dinner on a camp stove. The only thing to grouse about is the free plastic packets of Coastal Breezes shampoo that are impossible to tear open especially with wet fingers - you need a knife or scissors! Like all lodging in Bluff, the Mokee room rate is high, probably twice what you would pay for an equivalent room in a western / midwestern urban area. Splurging once in a while in a beautiful country is worth it I think.

Don't let the exterior dissuade you from stopping here . The rooms (or at least mine in #4 ) has been completely redone! New carpet, bedding ,Mattress, bathroom floors, vanity, towels. All brand new , no stains or anything! They have a power strip attached to the head board so their is plenty of outlets. The only thing original were the bed side lamps. The room has cute homey touches and they even have a little table and chairs outside your door so you can sit out at watch the stars. The lady at the front is friendly and just walking in and requesting a room will probably get you the best rate. The only negative... Thin walls, I could hear everyone coming and going and the guy snoring in the next room.

Everything was very clean.|It was actually a large room. It had 2 Queens & a Twin bed (since it was only the 2 of us, we Use it to hold on luggage and miscellaneous). The sink| was outside of the bathroom, the bathroom was very nice it had a walk in shower there was Recently remodeled, it also had plenty of towels||Their Wi-fi was iffy. I was surprised they even had some, since it's in the middle of nowhere. |We had a nice picnic table in front of our room, therefore, we had dinner on it. ||We stopped there because we were on our way home to AZ to see the Moniment Valley and Valley of the gods. Which was beautiful. | I recommend this motel to stop along the way.||Very quiet, nice. Comfortable beds.||The owner, Sharon was very nice and came to our rescue when we asked her about restaurants, not too many were open....
