Yeah, you can trust the five star reviews. This place looks unassuming from the road, but the food is quality, the staff are attentive, and the atmosphere is fun. I ate here two nights in a row. The first night I had the shepherds pie that came with a side salad and toasted focaccia bread. The salad came with a sesame ginger vinaigrette that was incredible. I mean, who notices the dressing?? That’s how good it was. The focaccia was made on site and toasted to perfection. I learned that the owner/head-chef Russ attended the Culinary Institute of America and has a passion for baking. It clearly shows. The second night I had "The Mayor" pizza, which is their margherita style pizza with homemade sauce, parmesan, mozzarella, and basil, with a crust made in an authentic Italian woodfired pizza oven that would rival the best New York Italian pizzerias. (Ask Russ about his 2 ton pizza oven) Most dining in Southeast Utah is put to shame by the hot dog bar in 7-11. You will not find higher quality fare in this part of the state than Comb Ridge Restaurant.

Worth a stop to try out but It's quite expensive for a meal and drink that just ordering 2 fries and 2 drinks was somewhere around $32. The fries were delicious and the drinks were good well worth the stop if you ask me. The waiters are awesome and very helpful especially when warning you the beer isn't 3.2% but rather 9% haha at least for what I ordered. The prices for alcoholic beverages is quite high if comparing to other states or even counties in Utah, but I think its because of the added costs to deliver to San Juan County. Just expect to pay at least $6 for a beer in san juan county when at a bar or restaurant. I can't speak on the food quality as all I had were fries but will update in the future, I just have to give the $16 burgers a try at some point. The only reason for the 4 star is because of how high the prices are but once I try the food (i.e. burgers sandwiches etc. Besides just fries) I will let you know if it's enough to justify the 5 stars but just know it's very close so far. So give it a shot if you're going through Bluff.

WOW! What a find in the most unsuspecting of locations. Not only is this restaurant situated in one of the most scenic places on earth, but the food will exalt you to a part of heaven. We had Charles (Charlie?) as a waiter and he was the BEST! He was attentive, funny, kind, and absolutely made sure we had the greatest food and the greatest time. I got the Green Chile burger and my wife got the Pulled Pork sandwich and they were both divine. We finished off the night with a large slice of some delicious pecan pie. We waited in line at the desk for around 10 minutes but then got sat immediately and the food was out relatively quick considering it is all made to order, so just be a little patient and you will absolutely be rewarded! Absolutely coming back to try more, the pizza looked delicious 😋 P.S. I've never seen a water glass so clean P.P.S the ranch for the salad was DRINKABLE

Barrista Horror. The Comb deserves much more than my single star for its food quality alone. But on my visit earlier this week the service was so abysmal that I decided not to eat. We spend time in Bluff every year and last August we met the very likeable young owners; I’m not sure if they are still the patrons. One waiter, yoga costume, of the emerging urban barrista types: pushy, abrasive, controlling, seeking self-empowerment by over complicating the making of a cup of coffee; how many spurious questions and surly attitudes can you insert into an order for a double espresso with a dash of hot milk ? Clearly she required customers to jump through a few of her hoops. I kept my reserve, settled for the coffee and decided against lunch, lunch only for my son. She then told me she didn’t like my attitude and refused to serve the remainder of my, yet to arrive, family. We spend a month travelling the High South West and Monument Valley is the place we like to ride most. I meet plenty of prima donna barristas in my city life and it leads me to confine my custom to the ‘chains’. It’s such a disappointment to find in states well known for their civility to stumble across the brash. I do hope for the Comb that it is a bump in the road for an otherwise pleasant establishment, rather than a taste of modern manners to come. Some clouds have a silver lining. We thought for some years that the south of town was mostly all there was. We drove north and within half a mile we noticed the Twin Stones, no reason to ask why the name, old farm machinery at the front, two new lodges, one museum and the other a wonderful restaurant: local style, charming service and very good food and drink. We ate on the elevated balcony twice a day for the remainder...

This evening we had probably our best dinning out experience in the US. Amber seated us quickly and was friendly and welcoming. Then our server Charles came to welcome us as well and make sure we were comfortable and let us know he would be over to take the order shortly. He worked through our order and was very communicative the whole time ensuring everything was correct before putting the food order on. Then he did our drinks order which meant we didn't have to wait long for drinks and our food arrived very soon after. Food itself was very good we had 2 Beyond burger subs for the Bluffoon Burger and Bad Breath burger both were excellent. Another person had the normal bad breath burger and tried the beyond version to compare and they were very similar. The last meal ordered was the Corn Fritter in flat bread which was also very good. Charles checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks never ran dry. And also recommended the Pecan pie which we tried, as the Floridian travelling with us can attest to the Pie is Southern Approved!! I once again want to call out how good we felt the service was as Charles made us feel right at home and really solidified how strongly we feel about this place! Finally a quick note on the venue, the outdoor seating area was cozy and felt comfortable, and they are currently renovating the internal eating area ready to accommodate more of us in the future. We look forward to...

Gosh, I hate giving this place a one. But this place won’t serve a solo female diner except as take out. So if they won’t serve me, it’s a one.

Dad and I discovered this place in 2020. We loved bluff, stayed two+ weeks and ate here every night they were open. I’m a full time RVer and this place is literally one of my favorites in the whole country.

Dad passed, I had cancer, so I am finally back. Without my dinner buddy. I walk In at 5:30, the place has tables, there’s one couple ahead of me. Another couple comes in after me. I’m told 15 min max. Couple one gets seated. I wait. Hostess tells me that she’ll take care of me after she handles a family of four. I wait. She then seats the second couple, who came after me. I ask her how things are looking for me and then a family of six and a group of eight claim they have “ reservations” and she explains that the restaurant doesn’t take reservations. She seats them all, leaving me the only person still waiting and it’s six pm. I ask when I might get a table and she tells me to wait another 20 minutes. Another family of six shows up and are immediately seated. The owner can’t figure out why I am insulted. I can’t remember being “single female dinered” in a decade and I eat out a lot. I...
