Quite the epic park! It's really for everything. Swings of all kinds, big slides, zip lines, rope climbing, spinning equipment, a younger kids zone, and then the huge splash pad. Not to mention just beautiful everywhere you look. Lots of lawn and pavilions and rock outcroppings to sit on, and benches in certain places. To the south the pickleball courts and basketball courts. A drinking fountain and filtered water bottle refill station was operating there too. Plenty of parking north and south. North side is the splash pad, playground right to the south of it. If making a day out of the splash pad, it seems like bringing your own chair is wise. Restrooms on the south side were well enough clean for park amenities. Playground has the padded composite ground throughout. The splash pad is concrete. Very fun design with the animal statues, rock cliffs, rivers flowing through. Lots of different fountains and falls and sprayers. Very fun, very few blind spot areas, well kept. Very solid 5 stars. Very far south, past the parking lot and pickleball courts, I saw someone walking a dog, but I didn't see any signage about yes/no dogs or any poop bag stations, but we didn't venture out to the paths around the park, so I can't speak to dog friendliness. Though no doubt a dog would...
Read moreBoy this place was packed! Wet went there around noon. It is a big park and lots to do but it was just insanely packed. Kids running like crazy everywhere and even a little toddler with a frisbee towing it everywhere she wanted without supervision. Very little shade because it is so new. So pack an umbrella if u want to come and have some sort of cover. The big slides were not designed correctly at the end, it just shoots the kids out. Every single one I saw landed splat down on their bums. My niece landed with a split. I mean obviously people that design this things don't try them out themselves. They should have some kind of an upward slope at the end to help them brake and then get off. They have a big kids playground, a little kids playground, 2 zip lines, 8 swings, and a little sand and water place with a hand water pump. Awesome idea of a fun park but I have a 6 year old and a little toddler and she was in danger with all the preteens running too wild and with water shooters that had good enough pressure it knocked her down a couple times. Also there was some wind when we visited. Enough that if you were wet it was substantially cold. All in all I will not go back this summer maybe we will visit again when school is back in to...
Read moreTucked away in a beautiful Bluffdale neighborhood that's surrounded by numerous large, equestrian estates (where many of the properties feature active farmland), Wardle Fields Park is a large, gorgeous, and impressive example of a top-of-the-line public city park. Its large playground offers many activities for kids, such as a huge splash pad with many groups of water jets that turn on in sync, timed in separate groups; a 30- to 40-foot vertical tower where stairs provide access to several long, tubular slides; and a large swingset made to fit kids of all ages. There's also a rock climbing wall, a waterfall and a large manual carousel; there was even an ice cream/snow cone vendor walking through the groups of people using the many available covered picnic tables and large pavilions, which can be reserved for parties. There are so many quality activities and features that it feels more like a proper theme park than just the high-quality, full-featured, public city park that it is. If it wasn't obvious, I was thoroughly impressed. I recommend a visit for any reason, or for no reason at all... It was that great of...
