First visit in 15+ years and all I can to summarize is 'wow'. Simple review tl;dr - Going to Boomers is one of the best things you could be doing in the area. Now onto some highlights of my visit. 1) There could be better signage and livery on the exterior façade. We were wandering around outside and tried to enter a door and later realized it was to a party room and probably freaked some kids out accidentally. 2) Mini golf club was bent. Didnt notice until 1/3 of the way through game. If maintenance on such a minor thing is like this, how does it reflect on other equipment like the go karts? Not good. Also having to clear out plant debris off the green for clean shots was time consuming and had to let other patrons who aren't as bother as much by it past us. Consider better grounds keeping. 3) Where is the kangaroo mascot? It's important for branding and fun. I want to know why it went away. It should come back. One of my favorite shirts as a kid had that Boomer on there. 4) Where's Time Crisis? Arcade shooter games felt lacking. The two seated turret based games we played were basically the same rip off game with scripted game overs. Time Crisis at least on a single play credit could potentially clear. And it's just a more fun game than whatever games we just played. 5) I appreciate the establishment maturing over time with the addition of the cabanas and alcohol selection. Really feels like the place has matured with me over the ages. But bring the fun kangaroo back. It's not silly to have fun. 7) Retail shop selection was excellent. I got the game card and wanted a lanyard for it? They got it. Waiting in line outside in the heat? They got sunblock. Heatstroke? Pain? They got drugs like advil and midol. Wish the lanyard was one of those extending spool type ones to make it easier to swipe on the games though. 8) Smoggy outside due to being near I-95 and the go karts. A consideration for anyone with respiratory issues. 9) Old school games like Skeeball is great, but worry about the durability of the new models' guard made of glass (?) instead of the old school wire fence. They also still have old classic machines like whack a mole but doesn't work as well anymore and eats credits.... 10) We brought in 1k or so old physical tickets and they would still honour it. Of course didn't turn it in as it's worth more in sentimental value than anything on...
Read moreI had a reservation to rent a Cabana for my son's 11th birthday. Which included a party of 13 children. Upon entering the staff were unable to find my reservation, even after presenting the confirmation email. When a manager got involved, he rudely insisted I didn't have one. After having to spend 10 minutes in the front line waiting, I felt humiliated. A new manager got involved and was able to find the reservation. He stated that our food was being prepared and would be delivered to our Cabana. This wasn't the case. After waiting 45 minutes, I took it upon myself to go to the food counter to ask about our order. To my surprise, that is where I found our food sitting on the counter. It was cold. I informed the staff, but didn't make a fuss, because the children were ready to eat. I was displeased that I took several trips back and forth to carry food and drinks, with no help from staff. The Cabana adjacent to ours, had a party that arrived 30 minutes after we did and was being fully catered to. This was so perplexing being that Boomers states that all Cabana rentals come with catered food, which we did not receive. I didn't get to enjoy the day because I had to take charge insuring that all the children received their orders on time since the staff members were less attentive towards us. Another incident occurred when my son patiently waited in line to ride the go karts. There was a misunderstanding with height requirements, so when I presented myself to accompany him, as a driver, we were denied access and told to get to back of the line. Being that it was my sons birthday, I remained optimistic throughout the poor customer service experience. A personal email was sent through their website about my concerns, but no one has followed up. I spent over $1000 to book this event expecting to have a great experience. Unfortunately , as implied by their mission statement of "Our mission is to bring people together through spontaneous, unforgettable moments of fun". The total opposite occurred to my guest and I because unfair treatment was...
Read moreUnfortunately I didn’t have the experience I had hoped to. I grew up going to boomers and the experience was always a blast so I was super excited. We were greeted with smiles when we first came in however we tried booking the birthday special online way ahead of time for days it wouldn’t take our payment so we came the day of to get the package they were all booked no problem. However, the manager cared less to actually accommodate us no discount or anything because of how many people we were paying for it just made sense to book through a package than everything separately. We were told it “wasn’t another host available” “no more food platters either” when asked if we can atleast get that included when they have a whole kitchen there. We purchase food so we spent like an extra $200 on top of the $600 for just cards. It was 10 of us cards are just unlimited attractions and $10 of arcade. The cards can’t be used any other day just the day you purchased for. Now when you get big cups for $13.99 but refills are $6.99 makes no sense to me. The lines for the attractions were so long it took 45 mins to an hour to get on go karts and laser tag. Excited to go into laser tag with all 10 of us to be told only 6 can go inside but before us was like 12 people. I would hate to say they were a little racist but it kind of comes off that way. We were in line of the go karts and the lady and her baby were behind us the baby had been crying the whole time some how she gets out of line to tell the police that the baby was bumped by someone in our group and that pushed the baby down. One it was a bold face lie and two they went and pointed the darkest person in our group out and she is 15 we’re like she never even moved how could she and why wouldn’t they tell the adults if so. Definitely got the case number! However the kids had fun so I honestly feel like money would’ve been better spent at...
