Bonne Terre Lake — Attraction in Bonne Terre

I used to live around this area so I wanted to show it to my family. It's a Nice place to stop for a picnic and a descent paved walking path around the lake. Has a bridge on the path way and a couple spots over the water to fish at. Plenty of spots around the lake with benches. There's a boat ramp but I don't think that I have ever seen anyone in a boat in the lake. Wonderful spot when the ducks start to migrate I've seen 100s there before some pretty strange looking ones I don't usually see. So always bring some bread the ducks are ready. Ever since I was a kid and took summer school fishing classes here and then a little bit later down the road when I was in my first fishing "tournament" as a middle schooler. I've always loved this lake. Over the years they have made it a pinch classier as time goes by but the nostalgia remains. It seems to be drastically under stocked but it's also hard to keep turtles out of there. So overall if I had to suggest it I would suggest it to someone who's not doing anything one night. It is very pretty to walk around it...

Such a beautiful place has bathrooms and docks and playgrounds for the kids also a track that goes around the lake as well. They have plenty of picnic areas perfect for throwing birthdays and they are handicapped access. And they have geese there. Great place to take your children. Also pet friendly. Only thing I would recommend is a changing station for babies in the women's restroom and men's also if they don't have one....
