Staff was originally very nice, but they sold me a faulty product I was not able to confirm did not function properly until I was able to remove from the box (item had a light up feature functional with usb-c or batteries-2ātried both to no avail).
I tried to go back to return the following day, and the owners of steel fox games were unwilling to recompense me in any form (refund, store credit, etc.,).
Very terrible experience-the owners are clearly more worried about profit and scamming people than their customers. Highly recommend taking your business to Gamers XP 5 minutes down the road insteadāmuch better store with better staff/owners who will treat your right.
To follow up to the owners comments,
I was not given any detail on any alternative options before saying we could take the court route. Simply told sorry we canāt do anything about it..
Additionally, The box was previously tampered with, so I have reason to believe the owners were aware they were reselling a faulty product to defraud customers.
If any of these owners came from a family of attorneys, they would be aware a summons takes more than 1 business day, so it was not a threat. We will be seeing you all in small claims and teaching you a lesson that $50 is not worth your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited at the end of 2021 when in the area. Walked in, four guys behind the counter chatting, and no one acknowledged me for the 20+ minutes I was in the store. I don't go into stores looking for help, but it got very awkward as time went on and I felt increasingly unwelcome in the space. Inventory was very disorganized, so I wasn't sure what was new, used, or a store copy. When I did finally bring a few items up to the register area, I had to wait another minute for someone to recognize I was trying to hand them money, and then was told I couldn't buy any of the things as so and so was maybe going to buy this and someone else had reserved that, despite these all being new, wrapped, and mixed in with everything else in the retail space.
I visit a lot of gaming stores when I'm on the road, and I also hate leaving bad reviews, but this was the all-time dumbest experience I've had in a shop. Left empty handed, still not clear what the hell was going on. Plenty of other stores in the area I did have a good experience at, so that will be my one and only visit. I have a feeling this is a better space for MTG players, and they seemed to have a nice space set...
Read moreI love nerds. They are by far the best kind of people in this world. My kids wanted to start playing pokemon the trading card game and I called around and discovered this place is the Shreveport/Bossier central headquarters for pokemon. Lol. From day 1 I was treated with the upmost kindness from not only the staff but the customers as well. I have never heard my kids say thank you so many times in one day, without my reminding of it to them. I was clueless and they filled me in. I was annoyingly asking questions and they some how seem to possess an endless pit of patience for I never saw a sign of frustration. They welcomed me and my family as if I was someone they known forever. They even call me by my name𤯠now that's nuts nowadays. I have increasingly brought more and more of my family and friends to the point I have no more room...
