One day I was scrolling through my feed on Facebook and an ad popped up for a forty-two day FREE detox challenge. At the time, I had lost close to sixty ponds, but I was still struggling with the last fifteen to twenty. It was the perfect time for me to take my health and my life to the next level and FREE made it that much more appealing. I entered my information and totally forgot about it until I got a text reminding to show up for my orientation. I didn’t know what to expect. When I arrived at Shore Movements, it was a non-threatening, beautiful and clean gym where I was greeted by the friendly faces of Mike and Hunter. Mike is the owner of the gym and it was very evident from the moment I met him how passionate he is about helping people get in shape. He is always there to answer any questions, motivate you, and keep you accountable. The workout regimen consisted of three forty-five minute classes at the gym with a very knowledgeable, fun and caring trainers. Sessions covered cardio and resistance training with focus on every body part. In addition to sessions at the gym, I had to work out on my own, three days a week. After about two weeks of working out, I noticed that I started to crave working out. That’s huge or me because even though I lost a lot of weight, it was just by eating better. Since I’ve added fitness to my daily routine I see and feel tremendous difference in my appearance, stamina and elevated mood. With all this said this is not a quick fix by any means. When I met with mike for my halfway evaluation, he gave me an option to become a member for a discounted price. Without a second thought, I signed up right there and then for two times a week. After one week I felt two days wasn’t enough and I upgraded to three times a week. This was the best investment I could’ve made for myself with the best group of people who are rooting for me to succeed, willing to work with me and hold my hand through any obstacles I might’ve faced on my fitness and diet journey. From the instructed weight training, to the guided nutrition, and the committed accountability to their clients, I am forever changed. I came into Shore Movements looking for a way out of constantly not being able to fit into the clothes I wanted to and not having energy to play with my almost 2 year old daughter. Once we had our second daughter this past October I knew I needed to make a change.
