I came here with a large group of people. First of all it took about 15 minutes just to get some water for our table. After we got our water we finally ordered, with hibachi you would expect to get the whole combination which is what it said on the menu. The hibachi came with meat, miso soup, salad and vegetables. It did not include any rice nor noodles so we asked if each of us could have a side of noodles and rice. The food took about an hour to come out and instead of serving us all at the same time they would only bring out 2 plates and then another 20 minutes would pass and they would bring out another 2 plates. The food was absolutely disgusting (hibachi) the server asked us how we wanted our meat cooked and everything was cooked exactly the same. 3 meals were not received after an about an hour and a half and the noodles did not come out either. They had no problem charging us for the noodles and other dishes although we never received them. I would recommend you not go to this place if you’re interested in Hibachi it was the least enjoyable food I’ve ever put in my mouth and overall just god awful. The reviews for this place absolutely blows my mind because I truly do not believe an individual with the right mind could enjoy...
Read moreI ate there for the first time last night. Ordered me the sushi deluxe. The place was empty on a Tuesday night at about 9pm in winter, hence service was exceptional. There were several customers who came for to go orders though. The decor is not fancy but clean. I’m here for the sushi. I looked at the preparation table. The fish was organized. Neatly. No concerns here. The meal: Salad with carrot ginger dressing was as expected with other similar salads in other restaurants. Taste was on par. The Sushi: No fishy smell which I always look out for. Good proportion of fish to rice. The rice itself you could see individual grains not a mush ball. I’m no expert in determining precise age of fish but the fish did not have the mushy feel of old fish. On par with my go-to sushi restaurant in Manhattan. Though being in NJ I would have expected slightly cheaper. Moot point in my review. This apparently from other reviews is BYOB, which I did not know at the time nor had intention of drinking alcohol with my meal. Would I go again? Yes. I will probably try when it is busy, see if service is as good as when you’re the only one in...
Read moreI completely understand the pandemic has made finding a labor force to work in the hospitality industry difficult but if I could rate this 0 I would.
These things all DID NOT happen. What made it worse was tables that came in after all got the proper service compared to the things listed above. One thing they definitely were quick on was collecting money for 2 soups and some edamame. Please work on customer service and attentiveness. By far one of the worst experiences ever.
To take into consideration this all happened within a 2 hour time frame which shows the staffs' inability to service a table in such a...
